Curiosities of Pont Aven, part II !!!

I am coming back to my blog now with more time and again found older pictures not yet in my blog and they should, this is happening often now, Not from my house there is heavens and one of them is Pont Aven. Really all is around the painters, but it has several nice areas and great shopping of traditional goodies.  For reference, the town is in dept 29 of Finistére in my lovely Bretagne of my belle France.  Let me tell you a bit more of the wonderful pretty town in  curiosities of Pont Aven, part II !!! One area we always stop by is for the wonderful biscuits that abound here all delicious, if only now need to take closer look at the sugar, One that is a must is the Biscuiterie de Pont Aven located at 8 Rue du Général de Gaulle Pont-Aven is famous for its butter cakes, which even inspired a film by Joel Seria Les Galettes de Pont-Aven, Very nice biscuit factory very friendly welcome wide choice of regional products to recommend; where you can discover the production live ! The biscuiteries or cookie making companies are a boundful here,and just plain good one of our favorites is the  Biscuiterie Traou Mad at 10 place Gauguin , now under the umbrella of Biscuiterie Loc Maria , The Biscuiterie Traou Mad invites you to discover the making of real Galettes de Pont-Aven (thin pancakes with fresh butter) and Traou Mad (thick pancakes with fresh butter). Our favorite gift store in the area is  Guisquet Lever Micheline, Breton gifts!!! They carry the whole range of Breton goodies from food, liquors, to gifts of all sorts and with genuine made in Brittany or France logos. You should be here if in the area. It is at the main street diagonally to the museum, 2 place Paul Gauguin and across from tourist office, No webpage.

My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
