I like to take you back again to the wonderfully beautiful coastal Morbihan and tell you a bit more on pretty port of Larmor-Baden with older new pictures found in my vault and should be in my blog, me think, Therefore, here are my curiosities of Larmor-Baden, part II !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
We rode down to the coast and beach town of Larmor Baden, on the road D101 ,then D316, The town of Larmor-Baden is located on a peninsula on the banks of the Gulf of Morbihan, 15 km from Vannes and 14 km from Auray, and only 27 km from my house.
The town is best known for the boat ride to see the Cairn de Gavrinis a huge stone monument that they have not figure the date on it yet, and it sits right on an island of the same name off the town. Larmor-Baden has 4 Islands on its territory: the island of Berder (private), connected to the mainland by a submersible sand roadway, the island of Gavrinis (with a great cairn megalith stone), île Longue and ïle Radenec.

It has a nice Church of Notre Dame (see post); the parish church was blessed on July 29, 1880. It had as godmother of the bells, for the donation the Countess Dillon.

The port of Larmor-Baden is the site of a landing stage for the Gulf of Morbihan , It faces the island of Berder to the east and the island of Gavrinis 550 meters to the south. The Port de Plaisance hold, which is located on the south pier, is a pier for passenger ships. The marina has a slipway. A crane is used to launch and dry pleasure boats. Very picturesque indeed ! And of course, oysters and mussels galore !!! Awesome !!!

And to close of course memories forever our fav eating spot in Larmor-Baden. The restaurant is closed for the winter, However, we had stopped by here for lunches couple times in Summer/Spring, very nice nostalgic , and many family ice creams and beers here over the years in La Voile blanche restaurant and Les Régates bar, at 15 rue de Pen Lannic ,no webpage but here is the RestaurantGuru reviews on the restaurant : https://restaurantguru.com/La-Voile-Blanche-Larmor-Baden
