Cruising by Jugon les Lacs !

I found me again another picture in my vault that feel needs to be in my blog for the memories’s sake of always. We were cruising in my road warrior trips in my lovely Bretagne by Jugon les Lacs with my Dad Elio (RIP) next to me, This is a lovely picture isme think and glad to have found it to make this post. Let me tell you a bit on Jugon les Lacs, Hope you enjoy it as I.

Jugon-les-Lacs is located in the Côtes-d’Armor department 22, in my lovely Bretagne of my belle France. It is one of the Small Cities of Character and the Stopping Villages of France. Jugon-les-Lacs was created on April 1, 1973 by the merger of the towns of Jugon, Lescouët-Jugon and Saint-Igneuc ; then on January 1, 2016, it merged with Dolo to form Jugon-les-Lacs – Nouvelle commune or new town.

We were cruising to Mont Saint Michel and taking the N12 hook up with the N176 road passing by Jugon les Lacs as in the picture with me and Dad,

The town created around water !! The pond joins the Arguenon river, which flows into a first 40 ha lake, the Lorgeril Reservoir, then into a second 200 ha reservoir, the Arguenon Retention. In Plancoët, the Arguenon river passes through the maritime domain and flows into the Manche in Créhen at the level of the Château du Guildo.

The things to see with time here are : The Lorgeril manor, founded at the end of the 15C, in the lordship of Follideuc in Saint-Igneuc. This came from the surviving family of French nobility, originating from Brittany. It bears the name of the ancient Lorgeril family, cited in 1311, but only proves its lineage from 1530, Also, the Church of Notre-Dame et Saint-Étienne is the church of a priory of the abbey of Marmoutier whose first stone was laid in 1108 by Olivier de Dinan. It was largely rebuilt in 1850, retaining old elements: tracery bays, bell tower and south arm of the transept from the 14C, the west portal is from the 16C. The bell tower covered with a Norman-style gable roof is of a rare type in Brittany.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
