This is part of my new road warrior trips in my lovely Bretagne , where else !!!.. I have passed by it again, see post, This time saw a bit more on the marvels of the Côtes d’Armor dept 22 ! Therefore let me tell you again about the Church of Saint Pierre et Saint Paul of Neulliac, part II ! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The town of Neulliac is located in the department 56 of my beautiful Morbihan , in my lovely region of Bretagne, and in my belle France. It is 67 km from Lorient , 62 km from Vannes, 112 km from Rennes, and 46 km from my house
Another small town passed by never stop until today, wonderful road warrior trip in my area, love it : A bit of historical fact tells us that according to a confession of 1471, Neulliac was within the Viscount of Rohan, one of the 46 parishes or trèves of the lordship proper of Rohan
The current Church of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul. probably reworked in the 18-19C, dates from the 11C. It reveals a complex whole made up of multiple additions. Certain elements deserve attention, such as the painted paneling of the choir, the statuary of the transept chapels and the woodwork of the sacristy.

The Church of Saint Pierre and Saint Paul has a square tower, which dates from 1824, was crowned in 1829 with a polygonal spire. The interior was completely redone in 1932 (plaster vault, tiling in the nave, etc.). The Rosary altarpiece dates from the 17C, The church is under the invocation of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It is a modern church, in the shape of a Latin cross. The side altars are dedicated to the Rosary and Saint Nicholas.

Another monument to see here ,and this no time but see post on it in my blog is the Notre-Dame-de-Carmès Chapel (15-18C), located in the village of Carmès and rebuilt in the 15C, thanks to the patronage of the Rohan family, on a single nave in Latin cross plan with a chancel with a flat apse . This chapel, was restored in the 20C.
