My personal curiosities of Caudry !!!

I am taking you to the north of France, again ! This is Caudry ,a town very familiar to me, there is family here as my dear late wife Martine oldest brother and we have visited several times. It’s about time I tell you more of it , thanks to some older photos I found in my vault. Therefore, here are my personal curiosities of Caudry !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

For reference, Caudry is located in the département 59 or Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France of my belle France. Caudry shares with Calais the title of the world Capital of Lace of Calais design to go into high fashion garments. The town is ,also, named City of Occupations and Arts in 1995. It is located about 14 km from Cambrai, and 62 km from Lille .It is south of the D643 road, the old N43 that links Cambrai with Charleville-Mézières.

The Base de Loisirs de Caudry or the Caudry Leisure Center is a 12-hectare green setting, an area conducive to walks and outdoor activities, it is a family place where young and old meet to share an exceptional moment, especially during Sunday walks. Animals, fishing ponds, playgrounds, dovecote and apiary are all strong points for the place , Great memories taken my boys each time in town, they love it !!

We came here to spent lots of time with the family uncle , brother and cousins, It was happy times we came in and they came to us, With the passing of my dear late wife Martine, the visits have been less but nevertheless we visit with lots of wonderful memories in our minds, These pictures are of those happy moments feel should be in my blog, After all, Caudry is one sentimental memorable spot in my world.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
