Again, llooking at my vault, found some older pictures on paper and took my electronic camera to take picture of the pictures and use them in my blog. This allows me to expand on these memorable shots and places of my eternal Paris. Nostalgia sets in and here I go again on the curiosities of Paris, part VIII !!! Hope you enjoy it as I

There are rivers and then there is the beautiful Seine river of Paris !!! So many stories, but I would give you my humble contribution and tell you a bit more on the Seine river, It goes around the beautiful Île de la Cité. You can see the Pont Neuf, the oldest in Paris even if translated means new bridge ! First you see the pont des Arts passarelle and on the right the Institut de France and behind the two towers of the Notre Dame Cathedral ! And next to it the spiral of the Sainte Chapelle ! Just sublime spot !

Another romantic memorable spot even if nowdays overrun with visitors is the Place du Tertre ! a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the place of modern art: At the end of the 19C and at the beginning of the 20C, many painters such as Toulouse-Lautrec , Picasso, Modigliani and Utrillo lived there. This square, which is the center of the old town of Montmartre, was already formed in the 14C and bordered by the closing wall of the Montmartre Abbey.  At least once, you should come here for the old romantic Paris in all of us !

There you go folks, a walk of nostalgia from my very earlier trips to Paris. The wonders of my eternal Paris that since 1972 never cease to amaze me for its beauty and ambiance; many memories that still rings a bell to my ears on each stretch of meter I take on this world. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
