We found Froberville !!!

And my continuing road warrior trip back into our nostalgic Normandy, we visited two main towns and stayed between the two, perfect timing and location. We found Froberville on the road D940 between Fécamp and Etretat! Let me tell you a bit about Froberville and our lodging of Le Rayon de Soleil! Hope you enjoy the post and find it useful as I did.

The town of Froberville is located in the Seine-Maritime department 76 in the Normandy region of my belle France, It is 10 km or about 12 min from Etretat and 6 km or about 7 min from Fécamp on the road D940,

On the road D940 connecting Fécamp to Etretat, Froberville dominates the Fond Pitron valley. At a place called “Mont Pertuis”, there are remains of the 11C, the chapel of Saint-Eloi-et-Saint-Jean-Baptiste, remodeled in the 14C, a splendid dovecote of stone and brick pink and black as well as an old mansion converted into a barn.

I could not help but take a picture of the church right on the road D940, The Sainte-Hélène Church dates from the 19C. The last ruins of the old church, transported near Hainneville, have disappeared. The first level of the facade includes the main entrance to the church sheltered under a porch. The second level includes the bell chamber.

However, the main reason I stop by here was my lodging, I chose to be between the two towns was visiting Fécamp and Etretat and this was perfect for the road warrior in me, I went to booking and got me the Le Rayon de Soleil gîte ! A nice find again !

The Le Rayon de Soleil is at 860 Rue de la Mare Blonde off the D940 into a farming area very quant the real thing !! It offers a terrace,and free WiFi. It provides bicycle and car parking. Towels and bed linen are provided. Located on the 1st floor, this cottage has a private entrance and a living area with TV. It has 1 bedroom and a sofabed double with 1 bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has a dining area, a microwave, a refrigerator and a stove. The apartment has parquet floors, a seating area with a TV, a washing machine, a tea and coffee maker as well as a quiet street view. And of course, they accept domestic animals such as my dog Rex !!

There you go folks, a dandy restful place quiet in the countryside surrounded by farms, the old fashioned living we like now, especially in retirement. This was Froberville and the Le Rayon de Soleil, nice ,recommended. Again, hope you enjoy the post as I

Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
