Back on my road warrior mode, we decided to get back to pretty Josselin in my beautiful Morbihan and lovely Bretagne, And while there a re visit to the Musée des Poupées et Jouets is indeed worth the detour ,me think, I have new pictures so this worth to have more in my blog,  Therefore, let me give you my take on the Musée des Poupées et jouets of Josselin, part II !!!  Hope you enjoy the post as I.

We remember Josselin, a nice town not far from us ,only 45 minutes ! that we enjoy it’s medieval look city center. So we went for it again, and the museum of dolls and toys is a nice stop. Josselin has a nice castle,  nice basilica and wonderful lovely inner street with wooden houses of old. A perfect getaway for a day any time.

The old stables of the castle have been upgraded to accommodate the museum with all the historical dolls collected by the Duchesse of Rohan and very interesting especially for children. This is in the castle but entrance by 3 rue de Trente. In 1984, Antoinette de Rohan opened the Museum with hundreds of dolls, the oldest dating from the 17C. More than 30 years ago, she discovered in the attic of the castle the collection of dolls started at the end of the 19C by Herminie de Rohan, the great-grandmother of her husband, Josselin de Rohan. It will take her several years to inventory and complete this collection, researching the origins, the particularities, the stories of all these dolls, stored until then in cupboards.

Every year, new dolls are exhibited in the museum, and this Summer you have the new exhibition entitled “From Brittany to Alsace”, As soon as they enter the museum, visitors can admire the many dolls who wear Breton costumes , After observing the different showcases, including that of Bécassine, the discovery of the provinces continues with Alsace, Normandy, Champagne or even Île-de-France, without forgetting Martinique , If the exhibition entitled “From Brittany to Alsace” is to discover throughout the summer, two other exhibitions are still present in the different rooms of the museum. On the ground floor, the space for Japanese dolls allows you to observe “very, very rare pieces. Finally, upstairs, an exhibition retraces the life of Herminie de Rohan. The opportunity to discover part of her important collection of dolls.

For the anecdote, Antoinette and Josselin de Rohan are the current lords of the castle , Mr Josselin de Rohan is the eldest of the house of Rohan-Chabot.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
