Once again to one of my favorite spots in my beautiful Morbihan dept 56 of my lovely Bretagne and in my belle France, I have several posts on Quiberon of course, this is one of my latest rounds to it this week, Well this is by far the best area that I have seen in my area. The Quiberon is actually a presqu’Île (peninsula) jetting out from mainland France into the Atlantic ocean , This is a sublime spot visited by all locals and especially Europeans at Summer’s season, A must to visit while in the area or even coming to it alone, Let me tell you about curiosities of Quiberon, part IX !!! Hope you enjoy it as I
You have wonderful Place Hoche going to the beautiful Grande Plage or big beach afar.

The carousel celebrates its 54th anniversary ! The decorations of the upper part represent local life, the menhirs, the boats of Belle-Île, the square tower, the lighthouses etc, A nice sight each time in town even if my boys are a bit old to do this, they remember when,,,with Mom Martine, memories forever !

I should had started with the best paid parking in town me think, The spot of the biggest market day on Saturdays morning at the Place du Varquez; We arrive , and quickly found me a parking spot right away , this is an extention of Place Hoche looking towards the Grande Plage or Big Beach! The parking is metered and we use it for convenience, however, a bit drive and a bit farther you can find free on street parking.
If you don’t want to come into City center or beach areas on heavy days there is a park and relay parking, huge at the Parking des Îles (Semaphore) , open from April 2 to Sunday November 7,slight change each year so check ahead. A closer parking to the beach is the parking Place De La Republique where the BNP Paribas bank branch is located between Rue du phare and Rue de port Maria. There is a nice little train or petit train that stops at the Place Hoche, and if it is your first time here ,it is worth taken to see it all The Petit train du Morbihan : https://www.petittrain-morbihan.com/en/quiberon/
On July 3, 1921, the city council decided to erect a monument to the Quiberonnais who died during the Great War or WWI. Located rue Pouligner, it consists of a menhir from the village of Manémeur surmounted by two palms and bearing three decorations: the war cross, the legion of honor and the military medal. It is surrounded by several plaques on the edges bearing the names of those who died for France in the various conflicts. it was inaugurated on November 06, 1921.
