The Yacht Club of Carnac, part II !!

There is so much to see and do in my beautiful Morbihan of my lovely Bretagne and in my belle France. I have come to Carnac several times as it lies just 27 km or about 17 miles south of my house. The first time loong ago we passed by and then it hit us and came to take a look, and realise it was the Yacht Club of Carnac !! We have been back and just were there yesterday. Do see my initial post on the club in my blog.  Therefore, here is my take on the Yacht Club of Carnac , part II !! Hope you enjoy the post as I. Carnac Yacht Club main bldg jun23 A wonderful set up in a great beach spot on the bd de l’océan, The Yacht Club invites you to come and sail on the magnificent waters of the Baie de Quiberon. Protected from the winds and the ocean swell, a wide choice of activities awaits you such as sailing course, rental, private lessons, discovery outing, activity for children, coastal license training, kayaking, paddle and rowing, year-round activity. They offer sailing courses, rentals, private lessons and supervised outings. By catamaran, dinghy, windsurfing, kayak, paddle, rowing, traditional sailboat, sportboat or foil, come and sail on recent, suitable and quality equipment. You can also come and take your boat license , Sailing courses, for children and adults, are organized during school holidays (Easter, summer, All Saints), from Monday to Friday on half days. They guarantee you quality supervision and supports adapted to all levels. Carnac Yacht Club harbor jun23 The main building of the club house measures 20 meters x 14 meters on two levels: on the ground floor, workshops, equipment depots, easement rooms; upstairs, surrounded by windows overlooking the sea to the south and the beach to the east, reception hall, bar, toilets, club secretariat and secretary’s apartment. A wing on one level extends the building to the north. My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
