I spent as much or maybe more time than in my domicile town. Not only worked in its outskirts and go in for quick trips and meals, but the family comes here on every break and weekends. Vannes or Gwened (Breton) is in my beautiful Morbihan (Breton for Petite Mer or small sea) dept 56 of my lovely Bretagne or Breizh (Breton) and in my belle France or Bro-C’hall (Breton) . I was by there again today ,and got me new pictures maybe some repeated but worth it me think, Le me tell you about the Gare Maritime or ferry terminal of Vannes, part II !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

We love my beautiful Morbihan and it shows…! One of the highlights is the many islands (about 50 with 24 inhabited) in the Gulf of Morbihan and into the Atlantic Ocean on wonderful cruise ferry boats. I told you once, let me tell you again one in the Gare Maritime of Vannes !!! This time even better as with more time we stopped for an apéro , apéritif sort of happy hour before heading back home, and a new spot we passed by and finally stop in.

The Awen Brew Pub at 1 Rue Gilles Gahinet. They offer 21 pressure spouts and a fine selection of alcoholic drinks . You will see concerts, events, live sport games. A super friendly domestic animals enthusiasts which gave us a wonderful time and our boy Rex could mingle with other dogs very nicely !!! It has a wonderful terrace with plain view of the Gare Maritime or ferry terminal literally across the street. We had several drinks including the locally brewed Awen blonde beer !! We will be back !! webpage: https://www.brasserie-awen.bzh/

The Gare Maritime or Ferry terminal of Vannes !! From the terminal you can cruise to the islands of Arz, Houat, Hoëdic, and the biggest Belle-Île en Mer ,Here you will land at Le Palais, the small capital of Belle Île which is serve year around. The Parc du Golfe (Gulf Park) is the starting point for passenger boat cruises of the outlying islands, and the Gare Maritime is located at 7 allée Loïc Caradec, parc du Golfe.

This is a very useful ferry terminal here as not just for tourist but folks live on those islands and they come and go as taking a bus in the city. You ought to check out these islands, they are a paradise !!
