A bit short on personnel , two dear women and a great men missing, but we were back along with our dog Rex , and my 3 boys !!! Disneyland is always magical once in it and with family even better! We came again , and it was a blast ! Text done with a combination of official Disney site and wikipedia, Therefore, let me tell you again on the  Discoveryland on Les Mystéres du Nautilus attraction !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I,

Continue your quest through Discoveryland and navigate your crew to Jules Verne’s Nautilus where wonders of the depths await you. Mysteries of the Nautilus is a guided tour 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Dive into the imagination of Jules Verne aboard Captain Nemo’s historic submarine. As you wander the corridors, you’re sure to discover some surprising seafaring secrets.

This scenic walk-through offers a tour of six rooms of the Nautilus submersible:

The Ballast Compartment: The main feature of this first room is the chest containing the treasure Nemo amassed over his voyages. The guitar owned by the character Ned Land in the film rests on the gold.

The Captain’s Cabin: This cabin, along with a bathroom, contains personal belongings of the captain, allowing visitors to discover his private life.

The Chart Room: As its name suggests, this room offers visitors a wide variety of nautical charts. One of them depicts the island of Vulcania, Nemo’s hideout in the film. You can also see stairs leading to the wheelhouse.

The diving chamber: This airlock, equipped with diving suits, allows the sailors to leave the Nautilus via a hatch in the center of the room that opens onto the seabed.

The grand salon: The central room of the Nautilus displays marine rarities as well as numerous works of art. The captain’s organ dominates the back of the room, and a mirror fixed to this instrument sometimes reveals Nemo’s reflection. Periodically, a porthole on the starboard side opens onto the ocean depths, allowing visitors to witness the giant squid attack, a memorable moment from the novel and the film. Since the attraction’s reopening in 2023, the squid has been replaced by other scenes where visitors can observe marine animals such as hammerhead sharks and humpback whales.

The engine room: In this last room, lever and piston engines drive the propeller, and the back wall is occupied by electrical equipment. The room is also filled with steam.

It opened on July 4, 1994, just before Space Mountain, and allows visitors to explore the interior of the submersible imagined by Jules Verne for his famous Captain Nemo. This attraction is inspired by the novel, but especially by its 1954 film adaptation produced by Walt Disney Pictures. All the sets have been recreated.
