I was inspire on writing about this ride due to finding me a picture in my cd rom vault that should be in my blog for you and me, However, just a disclaimer never ridden on it ok. The whole world comes to Paris ,and for a good reason, I have done my walks around here even at night and it is sublime ! One more reason to come to the most beautiful City in the world !, Therefore, here is my take on the Canards de Paris !!! Hope you enjoy it as I,
The Canards de Paris or Ducks of Paris, a hybrid amphibious bus, promises a ride like no other through the City, and beyond! With its shape halfway between a bus and a boat, it was originally nothing more than a truck chassis! It took 7 years of work and the participation of many French companies to get it up and running. To board, head to Place Vauban, in the 7éme arrondissement. A departure (and arrival) location that couldn’t have been better chosen since the Hôtel des Invalides and the Eiffel Tower are by there. The tour, on land, then takes us to see some other monuments of western Paris, such as the Pont Alexandre III, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Place du Trocadéro, etc.

Then, head to Hauts-de-Seine dept 92 for the submerged part of the visit!…Arriving on île de Monsieur or Mister Island, which was only attached to the shore at the beginning of the 19C. A fishing spot in the Middle Ages, it took its current name in 1678 when Louis XIV acquired part of the island to donate it to his brother Monsieur, Duke of Orléans,( born in 1640 at the Château Neuf of Saint Germain en Laye, and died in 1701 at the Château de Saint Cloud) , who acquired the rest of the site the following year. It remained the property of the Orléans family until 1785 when it was bought by Marie-Antoinette, who only resided there occasionally. On this island, owned by the City of Sèvres, there is today a departmental nautical park as well as vast walking areas. You, then enjoy around twenty minutes of navigation around the Seine Musicale, the Parc de Saint-Cloud or even the Bois de Boulogne.

There you go folks, another dandy in my eternal Paris, once bitten, the virus of love stays with you ; a ride on land and water is call for, need to try it eventually, Again, hope you enjoy this post on the Canards de Paris !!! as I
And remember, happy travels, good health, and many cheers to all !!!
I gather from the itinerary that the Canard is not allowed to dive into the Seine in Paris and takes refuge downstream.
