This is Noisy le Roi !!!

We have driven in the area and would like to have an imprint in my blog on the wonderful towns of my belle France, There is so much to see , doing my best, and glad found me these older paper pictures which now transposing in my blog for you and me, The pictures are old ,so the quality may not be as good ,but the memories are forever, This was my old hanging out home area so glad to post, Therefore, here is my take on this is Noisy le Roi !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I. The town of Noisy-le-Roi is in the Yvelines dept no 78 in the Île-de-France region of my belle France, located on the edge of the Marly forest and north of the Plaine de Versailles. It is 11 km from Versailles, 9 km from Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 26 km from Paris centre, and 459 km from my current house, The town is crossed by the autoroute/highway A 13, The D307, which links to Saint-Cloud, the N186 in Maule, and the D161 connects L’Étang-la-Ville to Villepreux. The historical nice and was able to see it on a trip from the Friends of the Château de Versailles of which I am a member since 2007 was the Porte des Gondi or Criton (see pic). The Gondi gate of the old castle of Noisy , Albert de Gondi built in 1589 a castle now gone, The story goes that at the beginning of the 16C, the lands fall into the royal domain. Gondi, advisor to Charles IX, will renovate and embellish the castle and outbuildings. In 1607, it was at the castle, that the King will send the Dauphin, future Louis XIII, and his sister, during a plague epidemic in Saint-Germain en Laye. Between 1648 and 1652, a grandson of Albert, Jean François Paul, Cardinal de Retz and future memorialist, who then plays an important role in the Fronde rebellion against the young king and his minister Mazarin, will welcome in this castle of his family of Illustrious rebellious like the Prince of Conti and the Duchess of Longueville, brother and sister of the Grand Condé, or parliamentarians such as Brousset. The king himself who bought in 1675 the land of Noisy, which therefore took the name of Noisy-le-Roi. The castle will be occupied from 1684 to 1686 by the future ladies of Saint-Cyr. Later the royal family will come on the occasion of the hunts, but the castle which is not maintained is dilapidated. In 1732, King Louis XV will donate it to M.Leroy, lieutenant of the hunts of Versailles, provided that the latter had it demolished at his expense. It is with the stones and perhaps the roof frame that the Château Neuf (Saint Germain en Laye see post) will be built. The magnificent château of Albert de Gondi there is only one door, two stone dogs and poor vestiges of the horse iron staircase which overlooked the second courtyard of the castle. Noisy will experience other famous hosts after incorporating into the Grand Parc de Versailles (see post) by Louis XIV. Nowadays, you can still see the large Porte des Gondi of the old castle. The path allows you to walk on the site of the old Gondi castle, now invested by the forest. Using the indications, and a paving station on the ground reconstructing certain elements, start to dream with a touch of nostalgia on the site of the old farmyard, the disappeared castle, the vegetable patch, the rock cave or French garden. Today the vegetation has resumed its rights, and it is also an opportunity to make a bath of nature, between ash , oaks and chestnut trees. A stop at the observatory also makes it possible to contemplate a breathtaking view of the Plaine de Versailles. Nice! Noisy le Roi porte criton ou gondi ave du fort c2010 Other things to see here, me think are the Noisy-le-Roi battery, also called the Jungle Camp had the role of the defense of the Marly-Plaine de Versailles sector. It was one of the six annexed batteries of Fort D’Enfer. The Saint-Lubin Church, at rue du Chanoine-Zeller , The Chemin des Impressionntes, this path or walk was done to maintain the cultural heritage left by the Impressionists in the Yvelines dept 78, Noisy-le-Roi, with eight other towns along the Seine river such as , Carrières-sur- Seine, Chatou, Croissy-sur-Seine, Bougival, Louveciennes, Marly-le-Roi, Port-Marly and Le Pecq (see posts) creates the label and the « Pays des Impressionnistes » or Impressionists’s county.
