The foodie in Valladolid !!!

I have done quite a bit of going out eating over the years as always went along first with my dear Mom , then as a single guy , then with my dear late wife ,my dear Dad, and finally with my young men. I am a good taster and love to eat and drink good stuff, but, also, enjoy bargains and good quality/price ratio restaurants. Therefore, I am condensing posts into this one to tell you about the foodie in Valladolid !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

While doing some shopping in the mall,(see post) we got hungry and rather than go into town to find something I saw this Brazilian style restaurant and found a good opportunity to introduce my sons for something I have tried many times for many years, the Brazilian rodizio or churrasqueria, We found Brasayleña ,a Brazilian rodizio chain, roasted meat restaurants with the best quality and price that can be found in the region. It is a restaurant concept where you can eat meats and garrisons unlimited for a fixed price (we took the 23,95€ Menu Amazonia including drinks). Among its variety it has beef, chicken, pork, veal and different combinations. Accompany the cuts with succulent garrisons such as puree of potatoes, corn, tropical salads, rice, beans, fried banana … In addition, there is a large section of cocktails, which highlights Brazilian native drinks: Caipirinha (yes), Brazilian sangria or caipiroska among others. The exotic and tropical of Brazil is also reflected in its desserts, among them, the famous roasted pineapple with coconut ice cream, the maracuyá cake or the chocolate explosion. In all a great experience with plenty to eat, good friendly service and clean facilities, one for the record to be back eventuall. While walking around the city we ate our lunch at trendy Zvmo restaurant come in as usual no reservations and another find by yours truly. Zvmo opened its doors for the first time in November 2001 with a concept of night leisure based on Latin character and as a soundtrack Spanish music and flamenco-pop. This is at calle Fernández de la Torre, corner with Calle Reina ,The concept of integral hospitality from 9 in the morning until 04:30 in the morning, wanting to offer coffee service with breakfast/brunch based on our traditional cuisine and also a sophisticated touch.The food/price quality is exceptional with a friendly welcome feeling, a place to remember. We had Arroz Negro (black tint rice), pisto de bacalo (or codfish in sauce), mini cachopo or breaded ham steak, and drank 1906 Estrella Galicia beer,  The official Zvmo restaurant on menus: https://www.zvmo.es/carta/

And for the desserts we went to Heladeria Gelati Ernesto an Italian artisanal ice cream shop that tries to offer the locals and visitors in Valladolid a artisanal ice cream produced daily in the laboratory by the master ice cream maker with fresh milk, fresh fruit and natural products. It is located at Calle Ferrari 10, next to the Plaza Mayor. We had milkshake of banana and strawberries, and scoops of yogourt, lemon, dulce de leche etc, And my boys at it !!! There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
