The Teatro Alcazar of Madrid !!!

I had this wonderful institution mix in with other posts and really, it should have a post of its own, me think, I have expanded on the text using the older pictures in my blog to this nice post. We took a leisure time to walk all over and see these magnificent architecture buildings full of history we love !! Therefore, let me tell you my take on the Teatro Alcazar of Madrid !!! The Teatro Alcazar theater (formerly called Palacio de los Recreos or recreation palace and Teatro Alkázar theater) is a theater hall on Calle de Alcalá 20  on the ruins of the old Trianón Palace. The luxurious theater was inaugurated on January 27, 1925 with the performances of the operetta Madame Pompadour of Leo Fall and capacity for more than eight hundred spectators. Although much of its history has been linked to the genre of the Spanish music reviews (with divas such as Celia Gámez, Lina Morgan or Esperanza Roy), at the beginning of the thirties it functioned as a movie theater, being one of the first rooms that incorporated sound projector. In 2012, the Teatro Alcazar was renamed the Teatro Cofidis Alcazar for its sponsor.

The Teatro Alcázar runs a program featuring a solid lineup of variety shows, comedies, farces, vaudeville, humor-based performances, and family-friendly theater in English showcasing works by the most acclaimed playwrights. Undoubtedly, the Teatro Alcázar is a must-visit venue on Calle de Alcalá where audiences of all ages can enjoy high-quality performances. It boasts a spectacular façade restored in 2004, and an equally beautiful auditorium. Currently, it has a seating capacity of over 800. The theater operated as a movie theater in the early 1930s, becoming one of the first to install sound projection equipment. From April 26, 2012, it was sponsored by the company Cofidis, operating under the name Teatro Alcázar-Cofidis. It is currently managed by the Smedia Group.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
