After hearing much about them , I came to meet them head on as in charge of invoicing their world training sessions in my luxury hotel of Paris ,the Inter (see post) I am ,therefore ,more into them for this and the foundation and the sponsoring of my all time team, the Real Madrid CF, An icon of France to the world, just say Louis Vuitton !!! Therefore, let me tell you a bit on the Maison Louis Vuitton of Paris !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

Louis Vuitton Malletier, often simply referred to as Louis Vuitton, is a French luxury leather goods brand, and since the early 2000s, also a ready-to-wear manufacturer. Founded in 1854 in Paris, it was founded by the trunk maker, and later leather goods maker, Louis Vuitton, whose legacy has been continued by his descendants. Louis Vuitton Malletier is the first brand of the LVMH group, founded in 1987 through the merger of Louis Vuitton leather goods and Moët & Chandon champagne. Louis Vuitton has opened a new location on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, in a historic building formerly occupied by HSBC France. The historic Art Nouveau building, located from 103 to 111 Avenue des Champs-Élysées,(see pics) directly across from its iconic flagship store, My other favorite stores which past by it almost every day for over 8 years is located at Louis Vuitton Maison Vendôme, 2 Place Vendôme, The original flagship store still is at Louis Vuitton Maison Champs-Élysées at 101 Avenue des Champs-Élysées.

Louis Vuitton’s legacy as a trunk maker goes back further than the company’s founding. In 1837, a 16-year-old Louis Vuitton walked to Paris and began his apprenticeship with Monsieur Maréchal. At the time, horse-drawn carriages, boats, and trains were the main modes of transportation, and luggage was all too often mishandled. Travelers relied on the services of artisans to pack and protect their belongings. Thus began his career in an artisanal sector that required certain rare skills and expertise. His bespoke creations would later become trunks, designed to meet the wishes of his traveling clients. In 1852, he was appointed maker of Empress Eugénie’s toilet trunks, and recognition for his expertise reached very wealthy clients. In April 1854, he married Clémence-Émilie Parriaux, founded the brand Louis Vuitton and opened his first boutique at 4 rue Neuve-des-Capucines (now rue des Capucines, forming the boundary between the 1er and 2éme arrondissements of Paris, near Place Vendôme. In 1859, he expanded and transferred his workshop to Asnières sur Seine (Hauts-de-Seine dept 92) on the banks of the Seine, to take advantage of river transport. He and his wife had a family home built adjacent to the workshops, which has since become the Louis-Vuitton Museum on a street renamed rue Louis-Vuitton. Both a family residence and the cradle of the company, the Asnières site has been the symbol of the personal and commercial success of the Vuitton family since 1859. Today, it remains the heart of the creation of the Maison’s rare and special-order products. While the family home has been preserved and transformed into a private museum, 200 artisans still work in the nearby Asnières workshop. Leather goods and special orders are still crafted in the workshop today for clients around the world.
In the 1870s, Louis Vuitton was joined by his son Georges, who encouraged him to expand the company abroad. In 1880, Georges married Joséphine Patrelle, daughter of the founder of the Patrelle aroma. In 1885, the first boutique opened outside France, successfully, on Oxford Street in London, followed by those in New York and then Philadelphia. On February 27, 1892, Louis Vuitton died in Asnières. Georges, with the help of the entire family, succeeded him at the helm of the “empire,” which he developed with the same success as the founder. In 1886, Georges Vuitton revolutionized luggage locks with an ingenious locking system that transformed travel trunks into veritable treasure chests. He then challenged the famous magician Harry Houdini (see post) to escape from a box secured with a Louis Vuitton lock. Houdini failed to accept the challenge, and the lock’s effectiveness is no longer in doubt. It is still in use today. In 1987, the holding company Louis Vuitton SA, a group listed on the Paris Stock Exchange and owner of brands such as Louis Vuitton and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, merged with Moët Hennessy to form LVMH, the world’s leading luxury group. Since 1990, Louis Vuitton has been based in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule,( Allier, dept 03) where it operates three production units.
Something else interested me was that Louis Vuitton has announce its official partnership with Real Madrid CF, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the Club’s history. The Maison unveils a formal wardrobe as well as travel pieces, designed to accompany the women’s and men’s football/soccer teams, as well as the men’s basketball team, during official events. And Hala Madrid !!!
