The Jardin du Luxembourg (see posts) garden is located in the 6éme arrondissement of Paris. Created in 1612 at the request of Marie de Medici to accompany the Luxembourg Palace In 2022, according to a ranking by the English-language website HouseFresh which aggregated the opinions of tens of thousands of tourists, it was designated as the most beautiful garden in Europe and the third most beautiful garden in the world. It is familiarly nicknamed “Luco”, an abbreviation of Lucotitius, the name given in Roman times to the suburb of Lutetia where the current garden is located; it is therefore a coincidence that Luco is close to Luxembourg, The Luxembourg Palace where the Senate sits, the upper house of Parliament, owner of the garden , The view on the picture is from the pond in front of the palace on long view towards the Church Saint Sulpice (see post), This church is located on Place Saint-Sulpice.
