The first petit train we took in France was in our dear Versailles. It is an internal train on the property of the palace even if is taken outside too . You will ride in the property of the Domaine of Versailles, Sublime to take it at least once and if too tired of the walks or health conditions prevents you from walking a lot, I wrote a post on petit trains and would like to keep this one apart for being special to me and my family, Therefore, here is my take on the petit train of Versailles !!! Hope you enjoy it as I,
Aboard the little train you can explore the park and its farthest corners, such as the Trianon palaces, in a Baroque musical ambiance without getting tired and sheltered from the weather. You can also learn more about the Estate’s history and locations using the little train’s audio guide. Here are some of the highlights to discover during this activity: Royal Alley: Right from the start, you are greeted by the Royal Alley. Lined with majestic trees and historic sculptures, this avenue sets the tone for the rest of the journey. Apollon Basin: A work of art in itself, the Apollo Basin is a testament to French artistic genius. Grand Trianon: The pink marble palace, once a refuge for kings and queens seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of the court, stands majestically. The little train offers you an exceptional view of this monument and its history. Hameau of Marie Antoinette’s Estate: The rustic village built specifically for Queen Marie Antoinette is a hidden surprise. Here, the queen sought solace away from the formalities of the royal court. Grand Canal: The experience ends with the Grand Canal, a peaceful mirror of water that reflects the sky and surrounding gardens.Pic is passing front of the train station rive gauche château of RER C.
