Often in my travels I have to go thru some exotic places never before been there, but need to go thru just to say « I was here » , I had it buried in other posts in my blog, but they should have more. It anything as a souvenir of me passing by Dubai ! Therefore here is my take on my passing by Dubai !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
Dubai is the first city of the United Arab Emirates located on the Persian Gulf, is also the first port of the country , It forms, with the cities of Charjah, Ajman and Oumm Al Qaïwaïn, themselves capital of their respective emirates founded in the 18C, it remained a modest village and isolated from the world which lives mainly from pearl fishing at the end of the 19C. At that time, the city and the emirate that surrounded it took importance by participating in the creation of the Truce States in 1853.
Dubai International Airport is located in the United Arab Emirates serving the city of Dubai and the largest in the country. The airport has three terminals: Terminal 1 (also known as Rashid Terminal Sheikh) has now about 50 airlines operationg from there,. Hall C measures approximately 800 meters long and is connected to Terminal 1 (check-in area) by a 300-meters long underground tunnel (shuttle). At present, nearly 100 airlines operate from this terminal. Terminal 1 has the capacity to handle 40 million of passengers annually (Concourse C + D). Terminal 2 has about 21 airlines operationg from there and is intended for charter flights and serves regional destinations. Currently, some 50 airlines operate from this terminal. Terminal 3 has now 4 airlines operating from there ,aspires to become the personified opulence with 3 concourses A B and C. With ts 1 500 000 m2 of floor space, it is one of the largest buildings in the world. Architecturally, it adopts the shape of an airplane wing and is a kilometer long, consisting of twenty boarding gates to accommodate only the A380s of Emirates Air. Its 15 000 m2 of commercial surface allowed to double the merchant space of the airport of Dubaï. It will have to adjust as the A380 are a phasing out breed!

Renowned is due in particular to the media coverage of its tourism projects such as the Burj-Al-Arab hotel, the most luxurious hotel in Dubai, to the gigantism of its real estate projects such as the Palm Islands, Peninsula and Artificial Archipelago in the form of Palmier, The World, an artificial archipelago which reproduces the world map, the Dubai Marina with particular and gigantic architecture, or the highest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. The Sheikh Zayed Road, the largest artery of the United Arab Emirates and the future urban center of the agglomeration is bordered with skyscrapers, and it makes it possible to link the residential areas to the tourist complexes built or under construction which are in the south of the city: Palm Islands, The World, Dubai Waterfront, Ski Dubaï, Dubaï Marina , Dubai Mall, the Burj Al-Arab hotel, Burj Khalifa, Dubaïland, etc. Dubai is 130 km from Abu Dabi, the Union capital, 362 km from Mascate , 60 km from the border with the Oman, and 864 km from Riyadh.
