The SM Mall of Asia in Manila !!

I have been lucky to visit the Philippines on several occasions, and always looking forward to be back, eventually, I have, also, several posts on it in my blog, but found me an older picture new to the blog that made me write this post, Therefore, let me tell you a bit about the SM Mall of Asia in Manila !!! The SM Mall of Asia is the second largest Mall in the Philippines and the third largest shopping center in Asia as well as the sixth in the world,so they claim, It has a land area of 67 hectares (170 acres), a total floor area of approximately 589,891 m2  (6,349,530  sq ft),  and offers 46,647 m2 (502,100 sq ft) of floor area space for conventions and social functions ,so they claim.

A bit of description from their brochures and webpage tell us that the SM Mall of Asia consists of four buildings interconnected by walkways and elevated pathways: the Main Mall, the Entertainment Mall, and the North and South Wing Parking Buildings.  The Entertainment Mall is a two-story complex, most of which is open-air, and also features some shopping and dining businesses. It also hosts the Music Hall, an events hall facing Manila Bay.  The mall’s 5,000 parking spaces are divided across two, six-story parking buildings conveniently designated the North and South Parking Buildings, which have been covered with a solar rooftop. The South Parking Building houses the mall’s official SM Store, while the mall’s supermarket, the SM Hypermarket is located at the North Parking Building. The new Food Hall (done after I left I visited the old one) is located in the 3rd Level, across SM Skating Rink , The main mall has, also, SM Game Park located in the 3rd Level of the South Entertainment Mall. it features bowling, billiards, other sports facilities, a mini-arcade, KTV, and a sports bar. The mall features the Philippines‘ first Olympic-sized ice skating rink which is located on the third level of the mall’s main building. The mall features a total of 16 cinemas with 11 regular cinemas (including Center Stage Cinema), three Director’s Club Cinemas, one Event Cinema, and one IMAX Theater, which is the first ever and the largest IMAX theater in the Philippines.

This area , Pasay district , metro Manila, is a great choice for travellers interested in food, shopping for clothes and restaurants. And it was very convenient for a night out of live music nearby. There is an ongoing museum since the days of my visits and still not finish ,however, the idea is grand and would love to see it done, This is The Galeón: Manila–Acapulco Galleon Museum a maritime museum under construction within the SM Mall of Asia complex. The museum will feature Manila–Acapulco galleon trade and will also house a full-scale replica of a Galleon within its interior. The grand opening has been delayed for some time, while the entrance to the museum is occupied by various restaurants. To be continue,,,,

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
