Curiosities of Meaux, part III !!!

I need to tell you about my sentimental Meaux again, I have one entry on the train station but let me tell you about public transports in general there, I was by my favorite wine store Nicolas in my capital City of Vannes and the guy there is from Meaux !!! More reason to come back and tell you about his historic City ; my first permanent entry to France when I met a lady from there back in September 1990. Plenty on my dear late Martine in my blog so will move on to the post at hand. Again, for reference, Meaux is in dept 77 of the Seine et Marne in the Île de France region of my Belle France! Therefore, let me tell you a bit more on curiosities of Meaux, part III !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I,

The City of Meaux is less than 50 km from Paris, and about 25 minutes from Paris-Est station by train or less than an hour by car, It is, also, 21 km ,and about 20 minutes from Disneyland Paris by the A4 Autoroute/highway by car as taken many times. For an advance will be back in November 2023 !!!

You can access Meaux on the roads by the A4 Paris/Metz-Nancy , A1 Paris/Lille, A5 Paris/Dijon, A104 (Francilienne) ,et A86 (rocade autour de Paris, Via the A4 autoroute/highway, you can go to Meaux from Paris by the A4 towards Metz-Nancy. It will take you out of Paris from the south. After 50 km of highway, exit the A4 towards the A140 towards Nanteuil-Meaux then towards Meaux-Centre becoming the road D360. Meaux will welcome you with an impressive view of its Saint Etienne Cathedral (St Stephens), You can get to Meaux from Reims by the A4 autoroute/highway towards Paris. After 97 km of highway, exit the A4 towards the A140 towards Meaux-Centre, becoming the road D360. When you arrive in Meaux, enjoy the panorama of the Saint-Étienne Cathedral. And Via the A1 and the A104: You can also take the A1 towards Lille-Charles de Gaulle Airport if you want to exit Paris from the north. You will then leave the A1 for the A104 towards Soissons-Marne la Vallée then you will take exit 6b towards Meaux. Once on the N3 you will exit towards Meaux-Centre becoming the road D603.

The Gare de Meaux train station (see post) at Place de la Gare, This was as well my first ride on a train in France going from Meaux to Gare de l’Est in Paris to visit her employer in the 10éme arrondissement of Paris, This station is served by trains on three axes: Paris-Est (gare de l’est) – Château-Thierry: direct trains between Paris and Meaux, then omnibus to Château-Thierry; Paris-Est – Meaux: direct trains from Paris to Chelles then omnibus to Meaux; and  Meaux – La Ferté-Milon: omnibus trains, for some trains having a point of departure or arrival at the Paris-Est station (they are then direct between Paris and Meaux). These three axes are part of the northern branch of the P line of the Transilien (Paris-Est network).
