My favorite Two Friends/All Friends in Jinja !!!

Let me reminicense of exotic trips and gave you what was a new spot in my world map, I have come to Uganda before but this time I was taken to Lake Victoria (see post) and stayed at Jinja , a wonderful spot to be in Uganda ! It was my first and only time there, memories forever got me some older pictures to bring this unique post to my blog, Therefore, let me tell you about Jinja and my Friends hotel/restaurant experience there !!. The town of Jinja is located north of Lake Victoria, it is the second commercial center of Uganda. The city was founded in 1901 by British settlers ,  It is approximately 81 km (50 mi), by road, from Kampala, It sits along the northern shores of Lake Victoria, near the source of the White Nile , In 1954, the construction of the Owen Falls Dam submerged the Ripon Falls. Most of the “Flat Rocks” that gave the area its name disappeared under water as well. The local Baganda called the area “the stones”  which is “Mayinja” in Luganda. The name “Jinja” is derived from this,

In Jinja , I stayed at the nice and friendlyTwo Friends guest house, worth it good value location and services. Here we had dinner at the next door All Friends Restaurant. This another wonderful experience with memories forever,

We had a great time ,good food excellent cold beers and even better company, with memories for a lifetime and lucky enough to still be in touch thanks to whatsapp !!!  The one two combination of the Two Friends guest house and the All Friends restaurant can’t be beaten in Jinja, really recommended.

Jinja is the venue for East Africa’s landmark electronic music festival annually, Nyege Nyege Festival , The name of an artist collective from Kampala founded in 2013, which promotes outsider music, mostly electronic, by African artists. Jinja city is considered to be the tourism hub of Africa with numerous adventure activities for tourists, Local attractions include white-water rafting, the source of the Nile, and bungee jumping , I did waverunner jetski on lake Victoria!!!(see post).

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
