Cruising under the Pont de Normandie by Honfleur !!!

Again on my road warrior mode, we set out to new territories ! Well not per se but this time we were in town and saw many things which will share over the coming posts in my blog, We first came to Honfleur many years ago and afterward came back many times , plenty written on it in my blog for more reasons than one, see posts. We will be back for more for sure, eventually, As you know there is so much to see in this time and Normandy per se. Therefore, here is my take on cruising under the Pont de Normandie by Honfleur !!! There is the one company that takes you out to sea under the bridge handle by the Promenade en Bateau Honfleur. The Jolie France is a ride of 1h30m which will put you with eyes open all the time. Going by the passage of the locks levies, view on the radar, bridge of Tancarville, Le Havre, the heights of Honfleur, the island of birds, and as a final bouquet: the Pont de Normandie. Boarding: Jetty of the transit about 20 meters from the descent of the bus , 80 meters from the parking of the mole (4€ all day) . The best ride as it goes out to sea and around the Honfleur beach to the Pont de Normandie.  We take as it reminds me of my Mom Gladys, Wife Martine, and Dad Elio who are at sea here. RIP

And of course, you can drive on it and go back and forth between Le Havre and Honfleur but going under ground on a boat is ideal way to see it up close and personal so we have done several times too. There is the one company that takes you out to sea under the bridge handle by the Promenade en Bateau Honfleur ,now Roney Boat Co and call the Ville de Honfleur.(see pic)

We have done it ,also, on the Jolie France boat (see pic below), the first one we did back in 2014, the boat goes under the Pont de Normandie bridge as well. Each of them offers a one-hour tour of the estuary. The objective: to pass under the  Pont de Normandie in order to be able to admire the architecture and the gigantism of the bridge, Indeed ! This is now own by the Roney Boat Co as well and the name change to Ville de Honfleur.

Having tried all the others ,this time try a new boat ride from the now former Les Vedette Cauchois onboard the boat former La Lieutenance,now Aventura. The whole process from purchasing the tickets at 12€ per person , waiting to be onboard and the ride was excellent with very nice folks. You embark on a sea trip of 1h30 from the port of Honfleur aboard the boat former La Lieutenance, with capacity for 196 passengers; I say we were about half . You discover the Seine estuary with passage through the lock-chamber, the radar, the commercial port and the quays in the Seine. The passage under the majestic Pont de Normandie and view of the Tancarville bridge. Also, view of Le Havre and Port 2000, the nature reserve, Butin beach, Vasouy, Pennedepie and the heights of the côte de Grace of Honfleur. Nice experience I say.

Lastly, for the memories of always and I will be next ,this is the SNSM or Sauveteurs en mer or lifesavers at sea a volunteer group of marines and fisherman which I support. Their boat is the Notre Dame du Port below

Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
