My Parly II Shopping Center of Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt , part II !!!

And now back to memory lane in my former dept 78 of Yvelines; plenty mentioned in my blog. We purchase here many items and came to eat several times as well as the best cinema around ,and just off the City limits of Versailles, I found some pictures not in my blog and they should, therefore, here is again , my Parly II Shopping Center of Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt , part II !!! Well, you probably come from a country of big malls or shopping centers and these are rare in France, even if the newest ones are pretty much out there, Well ,we were lucky to lived for 9+ years in Versailles (see posts), and we always shopped at Parly II in nearby across the street Le Chesnay. Now town officially Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt. My boys went to middle and high school here or collége/Lycée, a very nice town chic a bit upscale and the mall is just an extention of it. We love it !!

The Parly II officially opened in November 4, 1969 with 150 shops, it was the second largest shopping center in France !! Designed for the automobile, it has extensive parking on two and three levels!. The shopping center includes a covered three-level gallery, in which are located branches of Parisian department stores (Le Printemps, BHV), many shops and cinema, and very modern. It was enlarged for the first time in 1987 and covered 107,000 m2. The second extension was inaugurated in November 2017 increasing the commercial surface by 10 000 m2. In 2017, it had 187 stores. The shopping official address is 2 Avenue Charles de Gaulle The restos here are plenty from Brioche Dorée, Comtesse du Barry, Laura Todd, Ellis gourmet burger , pizza del Arte, Paul boulangerie, McDonalds, and many service stores , tabac, repairs of jewelry,and clothings, banks, travel stores etc.  The big Paris stores are here , all you need under one roof with class. Great department stores like FNAC, BHV de Paris, Au Printemps, Decathlon, Boulanger,Truffaut, Darty, Apple store, games like , Monoprix, Orange, Optic 2000,  Lenôtre, Nicolas, Lindt chocolate, Jeff de Bruges, Armand Thiery, Adidas, Auchan hypermarket, Alain Figaret,  Father & Sons,  Hugo Boss, Ikks, Jules, Lacoste, Levi’s, Nocibé, Sephora, Tommy Hilfiger, Yves Rocher, and Zara to name some of my favorites still there.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
