How about Normandy region of my belle France! Well looking over my posts left some memorable pictures out and decided should be in my blog, These are our road warrior moments in the region of many memories from the time we came to France back in 2003, I like to show you some ,therefore, here is my take on my personal curiosities of Normandie !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I
The wonderful Church of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours of Dieppe built in 1876 looking down at the city from the cliffs above the rock of Pollet, was a place of pilgrims and later a point to the memory of the marines lost at sea. It was a moment we cherish walking by it and sitting out next to it with my dear late wife Martine, Memories forever ! The picture is from the church to the harbor ferry terminal and Newhaven, England.

The Château de Dieppe ,had a first one in the 12C and the current one dates from 1443. The west tower dates from the 14C, and the place is really a fortress with a very solid architecture and with several parts in bricks. It housed until 1923 the army barracks of Ruffin. Today, the Castle house the museum of Dieppe ,which is a must to see, from the top you can see beautiful views of the sea and the city as well as inside marvel of the biggest and most beautiful collections of sculpture ivory in Europe; from crucifix, chapelets, statues, events, tabacs, painted work by Georges Braque, furniture from the house of pianist Camille Saint-Saëns and temporary expositions. Sublime !

Another memorable moment was lunch at O Blé Gourmand resto in Le Havre, The best breton norman cuisine in town, Lots of family fun here and great walks around the docks.

Another wonderful moment in a very historical site even if a bit over tourism has taken over, it is worth the detour , me think, The La Vielle Auberge or Old Inn, at Grand Rue-Intra Muros, Mont-Saint-Michel. This is a very nice hotel but we came for the restaurant! Again, they are best known for the hotel. we came across them because of the nice rustic views in the restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice old, good service, food ok was unique. We were not looking for anything nor had reservations, just walking up quant decoration old world tables set up as a restaurant
