And little Loyat will not stay behind !

Yes indeed, in my road warrior mode again in my backyard of the Morbihan breton! And voilà new towns even passed by close never in until now! It goes without saying my previous comments, will need a lifetime to see them all just in my beautiful Morbihan. On my way home, went again by a new town for a road warrior stop . Now, I give you little Loyat !

The little town of Loyat is located in my beautiful department 56 of Morbihan, in my lovely region of Bretagne. Loyat is mentioned in a deed of donation made, around 1055, by Josselin, viscount of Porhoët, in favor of the abbey of Redon or the priory of Sainte-Croix de Josselin.

What we could see was the church. The Church Saint Pierre et Saint Paul was originally built in the 18C; it was blessed in 1749, but renovated last in 1937 and the bell tower is from 1963. It has the shape of a Latin cross, and its two secondary altars are under the name of the Rosary and Saint Anne. There is not much information on it probably because it is all new as churches goes here. Nevertheless, it is an impressive monument in city center surrounded by many pubs and restos.

Something to see here which we had no time as were just passing by is the Château de Loyat, 18C,with guided visits is better but individuals have a set time of the year. The Château de Loyat built between 1718 and 1734 was a former fortress belonging to the Viscounty of Porhoët.
