I have made one round in my road warrior trails to this part of the Paris area, and was glad, plenty here to see, I found these older pictures in my cd rom vault ,and decided to give a post of their own for the memories of always on Clichy, This is Clichy in the Hauts de Seine dept 92 of the Île de France region of my belle France , Therefore, let me tell you about the Church Saint Vincent de Paul of Clichy !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The former church Saint-Médard today the Church Saint Vincent de Paul is located on Place Saint-Vincent-de-Paul at 96 Boulevard Jean-Jaurès. The parish of Clichy is one of the oldest in the Paris region. During the reign of King Dagobert I (7C), it hosted a regional council. Many saints of that era passed through its halls, as depicted in the church’s upper stained-glass windows. A Church is mentioned in Clichy at the end of the 13C. Rebuilt in 1525, it was restored starting in 1623 by Saint Vincent de Paul, then parish priest. It was completed on Holy Thursday in 1630. It is a church with a Latin cross plan, a single nave, and a false vault. In 1944, the hotel-restaurant “Au Rendez-vous des Chauffeurs,” attached to the rectory gate, was demolished to create Place Saint-Vincent-de-Paul. In 1998, the square was redesigned for pedestrians. Lighting illuminates the church, and the trompe-l’œil fresco depicting Saint Vincent de Paul. An engraved plaque above the baptismal font reads: “In this church built by Saint Vincent de Paul, we venerate a bone from his right arm, his crucifix, and the pulpit where he baptized. In the presbytery garden, one can see a tree he planted.” In early May 2017, the saint’s relic, lost for decades, was rediscovered during renovation work by workers on the church. In 1966, a complete transformation of the sanctuary and liturgical furnishings. To enliven the apse wall, which lacked warmth, a large woven and pleated bas-relief in ochre was installed. Above the altar, a chandelier made of cut metal was hung, its elements symbolizing Christ’s crown of thorns. Made of grey granite from Brittany (a subtle tribute to Clichy’s large population), the altar, the ambo, the tabernacle, and the officiant’s chair. Outside this church see the statue to Saint Vincent de Paul created in 1879 for the Panthéon in Paris but transfer to Clichy in 1943 to stay,
