This another of the Norman riviera town very chic nice and great beaches for a nice summer resort. We came here first on our road warrior trips between Honfleur and Deauville and found Trouville sur Mer very nice. Therefore, this time let me tell you about the casino of Trouville sur Mer !! We had some extra time in the area , and decided to come to the nearby town of Trouville sur Mer in dept no 14 of  Calvados  in the region of Normandie of my belle France. I have passed by it several times but never really got into it as heard was a bit glitzy. This time we went in with the extra time and marvel of another jewel of Normandy and France even if still glitzy.

The casino of Trouville sur Mer has 7 play tables and 200 slot machines, You are tented to try BlackJack as I was, The popular “21”, a card game much appreciated from the 18C, in particular by Madame du Barry and later by Napoleon who adopted it to spend time during his exile in Sainte-Hélène, The Blackjack was exported, after the French revolution, across the Atlantic. In America, it entered the game circles that invent bonuses to retain players. If you receive as the first two cards a valet of spades and an ace, you touched an additional gain from where the name of Jack, “valet”, and Noir, “black” to qualify the game. A bit of history I like tell us that the Casino de Trouville-sur-Mer is deployed over 6,500 m2. It occupies an islet formed by the boulevard de la Cahotte,the quai Albert-Ier and the place Foch, nerve center of the City between the quai de la Touques and quai promenade des Planches, A casino was built in 1847 ; originally, it was not a simple game establishment, but a opulent place frequented by an elegant and wealthy clientele. The greatest artists and personalities of high society at the time attended it during their holidays, The current casino was inaugurated on June 29, 1912, only fifteen months after the start of the construction. It is decorated in a colonial style inspired by Louisiana (US) , as evidenced by the two wheels with visible dawn from the entrance. In 1927, it was added two large rooms (Boule and Baccara), as well as a central porch at the sea front , The Casino was quickly abandoned in favor of that of Deauville which was a triumphant success and attracted more and more wealthy customers. The Casino was converted into a municipal museum until 1956. Between 2011 and 2013, the city undertakes a partial renovation which aims above all to rehabilitate the “sea cures”. The renovation leads to the removal of the cinema but the old Italian theater room located inside the casino is narrowly saved. The project managed by the city is to keep the architectural elements of the original theater while modernizing it by installing a conference and show room. The interior decoration is led by the architect and decorator Jacques Garcia.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
