Shopping at Shopping Mueller of Curitiba !!!

I like to update this wonderful post on several shopping malls which I am now splitting individually because believe they are worthy of a post of their own in my blog, I will do updated text and links for you and me with the older pictures, As said, had the opportunity to lived in Curitiba , Paranà State of Brazil, way back for several months, and it was superb! I have several posts on the City in my blog, Therefore, let me get on it with shopping at Shopping Mueller of Curitiba !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Shopping Mueller located at Avenida Cândido de Abreu, 127, district of Centro Cívico, a bit further from my home base in Batel ,and was a bit more upscale mall, here they have Lojas Americanas dept store, C&A,Cinemark movie theater with 11 rooms, Familia Madalozzo resto, Livrarias Curitiba bookstore,Mustang Sally resto, and Lindt chocolates ! At the same location for over forty years, is the heart of the city, in the building that has become one of the main tourist icons of Curitiba. A mall with over 200 stores of large and renowned brands, as well as restaurants, fast food, cinemas and event spaces.

Inaugurated in September 1983 the first space intended exclusively for a large shopping center in Curitiba, occupies the old facilities of a metallurgical, Metallurgical Mueller, being a historic building, its facades date from 1878, keeping alive the history of the Mueller Brothers casting in the Curitiba Civic Center. The factory has become a large industrial complex, contributing to the city’s progress. In the 1970s, it was sold due to financial problems and thus stop. The first mall in the city took off from been purchase in 1978 and the mall works began in 1981, preserving the facade. With 32,000 m2 of space, the mall has 185 stores. It is in front of the Passeio Público (see post), the oldest park in the city The spaces were interconnected by a catwalk suspended with overviews with panoramic views, being the first in the public road in Latin America.

There you go folks , a very nice time of shopping and eating good for the soul and the whole family in Curitiba. I had many opportunities of walking the city , and did a lot of shopping using my knowledge of the local language , to batter , haggle and purchase lots of goodies in a friendly typical Brazilian way. The shopping malls was one happy moment in the City, and great architecture, a must while in town, me think, just another wonderful memory, always in my heart. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
