The Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London !!!

This time took my road warrior skills to go again to jolly England with the Le Shuttle train service (see post), and my Ford ; towing along my good boys and wonderful Rex! It was a very nice trip going into the countryside and seeing several towns of wonderul architecture and history, This one is a must and the main reason we made this trip for my oldest son bday !!! and, we will be back, eventually, I took some pictures they took a bunch more but these were mine, Therefore, let me tell you about the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is located inside Leavesden Studios, near Watford, in southwest Hertfordshire ,about 30 km from London. As the studios are still very active, the exhibition is contained on two separate platforms. The exhibition is easily accessible to travelers from the city and the rest of the country, thanks to its connections with Watford railway station and the M1 and M25 motorways. The Making of Harry Potter has been open to the public since March 31, 2012.

Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden is an 80-hectare film studio complex which has been used for a wide range of Hollywood film productions. Part of the site is open to the public and houses the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, displaying costumes and sets from the Harry Potter films which were produced at Leavesden. Regular shuttle buses operate from Watford Junction to the Studio Tour with a journey time of around 15 minutes. The Studio Tour’s nearest railway station is Watford Junction and direct services arrive there from both London Euston (20 minute journey) and Birmingham New Street (1 hour journey). Parking is provided free of charge in our car park directly outside the Studio Tour. Priority Parking is located next to the Studio Tour entrance and is available to purchase online with your Studio Tour tickets for an additional £10. Exit the M1 at Junction 6a and merge onto the M25 (Heathrow). Exit the M25 at Junction 20 and head south east on the A41 towards London (NW & C). Keep in the left hand lane at the Hunton Bridge roundabout. Move into the left hand lane for the A405 (St Albans). Take the left hand fork ahead and then take the first exit at the roundabout into the Studio Tour.

The Hogwarts Express locomotive transported hundreds of students from Platform 9 ¾ to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Most of the scenes that take place on Platform 9 ¾ were actually shot on location at King’s Cross Station in London, however, during Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, part of the station platform was recreated on a soundstage here at Leavesden, complete with the track and the train.

The Hogwarts Bridge extends from the Hogwarts Clock Tower all the way to the stone circle on the way to Hagrid’s Hut, featuring a gothic design closely tied to Hogwarts and fitting the Scottish landscape surrounding the Hogwarts Castle.

The jewel in the crown of the art department is the intricately detailed model of Hogwarts castle. Built for the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the model’s every courtyard, tower and turret were filmed and enhanced with digital effects to create unforgettably realistic views of the magical school.

The Professor Sprout’s greenhouse is a fan-favourite set from the Harry Potter film series, where students were taught their Herbology lessons with Professor Pomona Sprout. Built by the original Harry Potter filmmakers, the greenhouse is home to many exotic and magical plants

The Forbidden Forest seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was a combination of location and studio shooting The Forbidden Forest seen at the Studio Tour is filled with 19 trees each with a diameter of over 12 feet.

The Gringotts Wizarding Bank played an important role in the Harry Potter film series. Lined by towering marble pillars, the grand banking hall is decorated with three magnificent crystal chandeliers and finished with real brass leaf. Inkwells, quills, ledgers and piles of Galleons, Sickles and Knuts complete the goblin tellers’ desks as seen on screen

The Butterbeer Bar you can take a draught Butterbeer, Butterbeer ice cream and for the first time in Europe, frozen Butterbeer. Witches, wizards and Muggles alike are invited to enjoy a Butterbeer from one of the many options available, whether that be a frothy cup of Butterbeer served in a souvenir tankard, a frozen Butterbeer, a Butterbeer ice cream or a range of Butterbeer inspired treats. We try the butterbeer and kept the tankard !

We order the “Happee Birthdae Harry” to celebrate my oldest bday but took home as we used all the time to see the studio tour. Celebrate with a six-inch chocolate fudge cake with pink and green frosting with the iconic phrase which will serve 6-10 people. Nice touch !
