My memorable trips to Cebu and Manila !!!

I am looking at my posts and found this memorable one but older and really needed an update on text and links, so so here it is for the memories of always, Many travels to far away lands and always glad to had the opportunity, this time to visit the Philippines several times. I went to several of the islands but the ones went the most were Cebu and Manila, Therefore, let me tell you on my memorable trips to Cebu and Manila !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I,

My trips were from four days to two weeks at a time and just wonderful, even if these were long air travel and some stopover en route, My usual trips were either direct to Nantes Atlantique airport in my car or going to the train station in Vannes and getting a TER pays de la loire train to Nantes train station and then an express bus to the Nantes Atlantique airport, On most trips I stay overnight at the Nantes airport to catch my flights fresh the next day, This meant staying at the wonderful Escale Oceania Hotel across from the airport. Once out to the airport the next morning would take my regular flight with Air France to Roissy CDG airport arriving in Terminal F and changing for my connection to Terminal A, or E or even L.

At Roissy CDG airport I took several airlines such as Cathay Pacific, or Air France again This is the airline of Hong Kong , and I was going to the airport there for connection to final destination. At least another spot in the world was here,,,,From Hong Kong took Cathay Pacific airlines to Cebu in the Philippines. Once in the City went to my usual hotel the Best Western Plus Lex The hotel is very nice and central to all. Always wonderful stays here.

In Cebu had lunch at many places but for this post will tell of the Pancake House, nice friendly place in a shopping center, At different times stayed at the dandy Summit Galleria Cebu hotel. It was connected to the Robinsons Galleria Cebu shopping center! The Robinsons Galleria Cebu lifestyle complex,occupies levels 4 to 14 of Robinsons Place Mall. A wonderful combination which I enjoyed very much! 

On my way back left on Cathay Pacific same routing back after been deposited at the airport by a company driver. From Cebu airport going back to Hong Kong, needing a bit of running to catch the flight until to find out it was been delayed 20 minutes! This is a smallist nice airport full of shops and restos nice to come early and enjoy the shopping. Then, again Roissy CDG airport , and again TF2 to Nantes Atlantique. Most times us the Airport Express bus to the Nantes train station ,and back to Vannes train station ,where had free parking,

While waiting for the train most of the time had chance for snack or lunch and could not missed my fav spot at the Café des Plantes just out of the Nantes Nord train station section and next to the jardin des plantes. Great friendly service always, and fast. The menu of the day is always good and great quality/price value. It became my rest spot and eating out place in and out of the of the train station. It is an institution in Nantes!

Several times needed to re route by trains from Nantes to Rennes, then Vannes, or vice versa even once to Le Mans. Finally at Vannes train station picking up my car to drive home, I like I said these were exhausting trip not to brag about it, just another opportunity to see by now friends and a nice welcome by the locals as usual.  It will stay as one of my memorable moments in the Philippines! 

Many times needed to flight domestic with Philippines Airlines between Cebu and Manila or vice versa, While at Manila, I stayed at the Microtel by Wynham hotel another dandy property centrally located next to the biggest mall in the Philippines, Mall of Asia. It features an outdoor swimming pool and restaurant. It is a 15-minute drive from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The mall is just overlooking the Bay of Manila in Pasay City.

There you go folks, a short post full of info on my wonderful memorable trips to Cebu and Manila in the Philippines, memories forever, All it was made easy because I was always with local people and moving by car so the experience was huge. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
