This is Château la Valliére !!!

I was on my by now monthly road warrior trails of my belle France, I was out with my boys and my good dog Rex riding into the wonderful regions near me. This even if passed by before, is my first time in the town of Château la Valliére, full of architecture and history monuments. The village of Château-la-Vallière is located in the Indre-et-Loire department 37, in the Centre-Val de Loire region of my belle France. Therefore, here is my take on this is Château la Valliére !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The village of Château la Valliére has nearly 1,800 inhabitants, It is located 17 km from Le Lude, 38 km from Tours, 62 km from Le Mans , 74 km from Angers, 260 km from Paris ,and 299 km from my current home, We came here from Le Lude on the D306 road which becomes same road the D959 then bear left around the town on the D766 road to connect with the D34 road dir Cléré les Pins but turning left to see the ruins of the Château de Vaujours on the D349 road which led to a great surprise a bit further down in Cléré les Pins, before coming back to Château La Villiére and its church.

On my road warrior trails this was our stop for gas/petrol and groceries for our gîte/apartment in Le Lude (see post), The Super U supermarket was en route entering the town from the castle on 75 Avenue Du General De Gaulle D959 road

A bit of history tell us that under the Ancien Régime, Château-la-Vallière was an integral part of Anjou, and more precisely of the Angevin Seneschal of Baugé (dependent on the main Seneschal of Angers) until the French revolution. When the French departments were created in 1790, the entire eastern part of Anjou, from Château-la-Vallière in the north to Bourgueil in the south, passing through the grounds of the Château de Gizeux, was attached to the newly created department of Indre-et-Loire. During the French revolution, the town was provisionally named Val-Joyeux. Today, this region is called Angevin Touraine.
