The Plage de Butin of Honfleur ,part III !!!

If you have been reading my blog and thank you for it doing it since Nov 2010; then you know my sentimental attachment to Honfleur. A city gear to the ocean and fishing in the Calvados dept 14 of the region of Normandie, and in my belle France,  I have several posts on it in my blog and they are all special to me. I found more pics in my cd rom vault that should be in my blog for you and me, Let me tell you about the plage de Butin of Honfleur, part III  !!!  Hope you enjoy the post as I.

A small town by the coast ,but pack heavy of things to do here ; this is my nostalgic Honfleur.  I have other posts on the plage de Butin, but let me tell you a bit more ok, The plage de Butin beach has all the equipment to welcome you comfortably and safely during the summer season: free parking nearby, showersie, cabins, equipment rental , and a play area for children. From April to October, the beach also hosts a catering hut and inflatable play areas.

The Honfleur Lighthouse, also called the flashes of the Funds or Lighthouse of Butin or booty from its beginning in 1908 to the present day, the former Lighthouse of the Hospital, located at the foot of the Butin beach, will experience an unexpected destiny. From 1940 to 1944, it was requisitioned by the nazis who transformed it into a monumental watchtower. Small but beefy: the Butin lighthouse, alone replaced three lighthouses between Honfleur and Saint-Samson-de-la-Rocque. A range of around 14 miles, that is to say 25 km. As for the dome, it comes from the hospital’s lighthouse. On September 25, 1908: the power of the Butin lighthouse compensating that of these three lights together.

From Honfleur city center you must take the direction of Naturospace (boulevard Charles V) on the road D513 for about 1.5 kms ; we have even done it on foot. There is free parking on the left at the Butin lighthouse, can’t missed it, It can be done on bike too. The plage de Butin is coming along the shore before reaching Honfleur by the coastal road D513 coming from Trouville sur Mer. Glorious ride indeed.

There you go folks, short and sassy as the saying goes. Just another alternative coming to Honfleur with small children; should be fun. Overlooking across the harbor the port 2000 of Le Havre ! Again, hope you enjoy the post on the Plage de Butin of Honfleur, part III as I

And remember, happy travels, good healh, and many cheers to all !!!
