The Chapelle de la Sainte Trinité of Richelieu !!!

I finally came to Richelieu, the town of the Cardinal of France! This is a small but amazing town that needs to be seen; in my road warrior trips always by passed it until now. I took the older pics from other post to create one of its own, deservently so , me think, therefore, let me tell you a bit on the Chapelle de la Sainte Trinité of Richelieu !!!Hope you enjoy it as I.

The town of Richelieu is located in the dept no 37 of Indre-et-Loire in the Centre-Val de Loire region of my belle France. On the borders of Touraine, Anjou and Poitou, the city now borders the department of Vienne no 86 and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Richelieu is located south of Chinon, west of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park. In addition, the town of Richelieu belongs to the canton of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine, which takes place within the district of Chinon.

The Chapelle de la Sainte Trinité. At n° 25 of the Grande rue, you have to pass the porch to see this chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity, all in white freestone. Its door framed by Corinthian columns,opens under a semicircular arch whose archivolt is decorated , the whole surmounted by a decorated pediment. Above, a row of nine corbels all have a different sculpture: more or less animals less aggressive, two human heads, a hand that holds a chalice. This Romance neo chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity is that of the Saint-Antoine orphanage, founded in 1893 by Mme Lhuillier and administered by Franciscan sisters. Its stained glass windows of 1894,and 1924, however designed on the same model as the previous ones. See the beautiful Holy Trinity and the Evangelists.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
