Shopping at Shopping Estaçao of Curitiba !!!

I like to update this wonderful post on several shopping malls which I am now splitting individually because believe they are worthy of a post of their own in my blog, I will do updated text and links for you and me with the older pictures, As said, had the opportunity to lived in Curitiba , Paranà State of Brazil, way back for several months, and it was superb! I have several posts on the City in my blog, Therefore, let me get on it with shopping at Shopping Estação of Curitiba !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Shopping Estação is located at Av. Sete de Setembro, 2775 ,district of Rebouças,the closest to my home base in Batel, It was opened on November 14, 1997 in a building attached to the Museu Ferroviário or Railway Museum, which brings together the memory of Curitiba’s old railway station, attracting the public with an extensive list of attractions for Curitiba residents .Indeed nice, The only museum within a mall in Brazil. It is in City center and surrounded by large avenues,it has become a reference in the city. It currently is offering several options for entertaining family and friends. It comprises 150 stores, 4 restaurants, 10 cinema rooms,40 eating kiosks, a commercial tower with a total of 1364 parking spaces ! I love the railroad museum, cinema, pizza hut,and lojas Americanas dept store !

Shopping Estação is the most touristy mall in Curitiba, being a meeting point and reference in entertainment and gastronomy in the city since 1997, with a mix of over 150 stores, including purchases, food, services, amenities and entertainment ; has been active in the lives of Curitibanos (locals) and thousands of tourists passing through the capital of Paraná State. It has one of the most complete and modern convention centers in Latin America: the Embratel Convention Center station in 2004. In 2002, the mall is renamed Shopping Estação. In 2007, the management of Shopping Estação was transferred to the BRMALLS company, which managed the mall until 2023. In 2024, Shopping Estação was acquired by mall investment funds and had a new administration.

There you go folks , a very nice time of shopping and eating good for the soul and the whole family in Curitiba. I had many opportunities of walking the city , and did a lot of shopping using my knowledge of the local language , to batter , haggle and purchase lots of goodies in a friendly typical Brazilian way. The shopping malls was one happy moment in the City, and great architecture, a must while in town, me think, just another wonderful memory, always in my heart. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
