Again, on my nostalgic runs and wanting to have all my history in my blog ,I come to you with another nice town of my belle France, We have here for the park since visiting France before moving in for several years, and we came back a couple times more early while living here, I like to tell you a bit on the town with new text and links for you and me,Of course, this post will be in my black and white series, no pictures, Therefore, here is my take on this is Plailly !!! Hope you enjoy it as I,
The town of Plailly is located in the dept np 60 of the Oise in the Hauts-de-France region of my belle France. It is at 38 km from Paris by the A1 highway, near the Ermenonville forest. 15 km from Senlis by the RD 118 and RD 1017 roads, and the A1 highway at its exit/sortie No 7, in Saint-Witz, 4 km by the RD 126. 15 km from Roissy CDG airport. The main roads are the RD 922 from Ermenonville and Fontaine-Chaalis connect with the RD 126 in the direction of Survilliers, Fosses and Luzarches, It is 59 km from Versailles ,and 510 km from my current home.
The parc Asterix , a tourist complex including a theme park and now three hotels opened on 30 April 1989. The theme park is dedicated to the world of comics from Uderzo and Goscinny, A flagship amusement park very popular known as the French Disney, even with different themes, Do read my two posts on the park in my blog, Other things to see here, me think ,are : The Saint-Martin Church built during the 1160s and 1170s in the primitive Gothic style, it receives later on in the beginning of the same century ; a new choir of pre-rayonnant-style, whose three traveled of the bedside form a transverse nerf of the same height. The old castle of Bertrandfosse, route de Bertrandfosse ,many changes lastly in May 1905, it was demolished it in order to build a new villa. It is an imposing light gray brick building, with high roofs with a high slope and very massive appearance.
A bit of history I like tell us that the first lord of Bertrandfosted was Guy de Plailly, founder in 1276 of the parish of Mortefontaine. Bailli of Senlis and Marshal of the Logis of Louis XI, Charles VIII and Louis XII, the Lord called himself Christophe de Plailly, family name of his mother Agnès de Plailly. The manor was not habitable since the French revolution and then served as a barn. Many ownership changes of the town especially in 1791, 1797 and 1808, when Joseph Bonaparte again gathered the lands of the former marquisate. However, he was not long in giving in Bertrandfosse for the benefit of Henri-Michel Paulmier, Parisian rentier, who considered this vast farm especially as an investment ; indeed, he did not go there for the first time in 1815, and finally had the former home of the stage manager and the outbuildings on the left of the courtyard of honor done for a residence.
