I am a lover of travels to Europe , Americas , Africa and Asia as well ,who like to share my experiences of the last 53 years with the world, visiting so far 81 countries; living in 6, working in 5, and Citizen of 4, speaking fluently 4 languages. I can deal with sports especially football/soccer and love music, arts, wine collector/drinker, and go out to restaurants, and just visit the world.
My background comes all the way from Candelaria and Pajara in Tenerife, Spain where my grandparents came from ;not knowing each other then, to Punta Brava, west of Havana, Cuba. There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers

At No 407 rue Nationale , is the Maison de l’Italien with an octagonal tower and mofits in its facade that reminds you of the palace Jacques Coeur in Bourges,(see post), It has a renaissance gallery and back with houses from the 17C.
A wonderful street here is one that initially was called Grand’Rue, then rue Royale, rue Impériale, and finally rue Nationale. streetis awesome for shopping and sightseeing in town. At No 834 maison des Bourbon built between 1492 and 1507 . At No 816 maison de la ville des Echevins renaissante style like the Maison Giliquin at No 810. At No 761 Maison de la Tourelle early 16C. At the corner of rue Nationale and rue Paul Bert two attach facades of the Pêcherie one gothic and the other renaissance, You see La Coupe d’Or at No 528 very old auberge with a tower in the courtyard as well as a water well dating from Louis XIV time. At No 524 a door opens on a long corridor that take you to the last wooden gallery surviving Villefranche sur Saône. On the other side of the street at No 523 a wooden tower cut from the Hôtel Mignot de Bussy as well as the monumental kitchen in the street level floor.The street nearby the rue Nationale has some pretty buildings as well such as at No 125 rue Corlin, a narrow ally that takes you to the courtyard of the Maison des Fleurons work of art from the transition period of the gothic to the renaissance. Also, the Hôtel Gayand with its small courtyard decorated with sculpture stones and the Maison du Patrimoine at No 30 rue Roland, buildings of the 15C with temporary and permanent expos as well as the musée de la Conscription.
Other things to see here , me think are the Halles or covered market,(1934) at boulevard Jean Jaurès , and the Collegiate Church Notre-Dame-des-Marais, at rue Nationale, facade dates from the 16C in Flamboyant Gothic style ,and the bell tower of the 13C. Rebuilt in the 15C, For the anecdote we came to see a Toys R Us store here where we purchase toys for our then young boys, the place is now a King Jouet at Avenue de l’Europe ; now much over loaded with stores and trafic…..
A bit of history tell us that the city was created by Humbert III de Beaujeu in 1140, On June 19, 1940, Nazis troops entered the city, but withdrew after the armistice of June 22 which inaugurates the era of collaboration. The City is liberated on September 3, 1944 by the troops landed in Provence, The City is known to be the capital of Beaujolais. Walk the heart of the Renaissance district will lead you to discover some interior courtyards and remarkable houses built from the 16-18C.
