Beachside living in Daytona Beach !!!

I am going deep back again in my life to remember dear places of my life’s existance. This is a memorable post on a place I lived while having a great time of youthful energies, I have written several posts on Florida and Daytona Beach and this is another special one for me. Therefore, here is my take on beachside living in Daytona Beach !!! Hope you enjoy it as I A bit of a repeat from another post will tell you that the story goes ,I was visiting Florida in July 1972 from my home state of New Jersey for visiting my paternal aunt in Miami Lakes. When it was time to choose my university studies, leaning towards a career in aviation , hopefully with an airline, and by reference from a friend who was going to the US Navy, I heard of ERAU=Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship or love with the state of Florida. I was admitted to the school fairly quickly and arrive at Daytona Beach, ERAU campus by August 24th 1977. My last year 4th or senior year, again was the time to try another housing, and closer to the action, so I moved to a two bedroom house in N, Hollywood ave nearer Main Street, surrounded by bikers ! My neighbors were the Pagans group from Vineland NJ and I guess my car plates were from NJ so they were friendly ! I could even used their hoses to clean my car ! The bar area was great going to place like the Wild Olive Saloon (now gone) ,and the famous Boot Hill Saloon , still there ! Memories forever, North Hollywood Avenue starts at Butler Blvd and goes all the way to Auditorium Blvd at the intersection with Main Street, It continues as South Hollywood Ave, all the way to SR 92 or East International Speedway Blvd, I lived for my last year in the Univ at about 228 N Hollywood Ave if I recall where the parking was on the N Oleander Street the back side street, Very near to Main Street and the Pinewood cemetery, I can see in google that a lot of land has clear up and the place is not the same well things change after so many years, This is a nostalgic post for me. Daytona Beach Daytona Beach daytona-beach-apt-front-montecarlo-1977. My graduation was back on April 24 1982 so a lot rain falling since then, but the memories of college life in the US are superbe, never to forget them and always a great conversation in any bar in the world !
