Once again, found me an older picture that should be in my blog for the memories of always, This new town is directly associated with Disneyland Paris. I have come here many times by car, but once by train to show off the family. This is Marne La Vallée in Seine et Marne dept 77 of the Île de France region of my belle France, Therefore, let me tell you a bit on curiosities of Marne la Vallée !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
The new town of Marne-La Vallée was created in the 1960’s. It includes for about 20 km wide the towns from Bry-sur-Marne to Bailly-Romainvilliers, and divided into four districts or sectors. Finally , sector IV with the towns of Bailly-Romainvilliers, Chessy, Coupvray, Magny-le-Hongre, Serris ,and Villeneuve-le-Comte.
Marne La Vallée Chessy is a purpose-built train station created in 1992 , and for the TGV in 1994, sitting right outside the gates of Disneyland Resort Paris. It welcomes Eurostar trains from the UK to Disneyland Resort Paris. Plus you can catch high-speed TGV trains from the station for journeys across France and beyond. Marne La Vallée Chessy train station opened in 1994, two years after Disneyland Resort Paris. It is a smallish station, housing three platforms and five high-speed tracks. Automatic Left Luggage from 07h-22h ; Monday-Sunday & Holidays. Luggage trolleys are also available inside the station. There is a foreign exchange in the station. Disabled facilities: 07h-22h30 Monday-Sunday & Holidays; at the Welcome Desk; You should turn up to the reception 30 minutes before your train leaves if you need assistance boarding. Wheelchairs and boarding ramps are also available if required.. On foot: The station is just by the entrance to Disney Village and the resort. The SNCF train station has main access to Place des Passengers-du-Vent, allowing direct access to Disneyland Paris park and Disney Village. Three other access, on the François-Truffaut esplanade, allow access to the North bus station and the parking lot of the TGV station , Access No. 1: Disneyland parks, giving direct access to the amusement park; Access No. 2: Disney Village, corresponding to the access of the SNCF station on the Place des Passengers-du-Vent; Access No. 3: avenue Paul-Séramy, allowing access to the southern bus station and the Disney Village car park. It has a “main line” ticket office as well as automatic ticket offices, an automatic luggage instruction, a photomobile, a relaxation area, a sport space and a work and station area. It also hosts a Starbucks coffee, two brioche dorée and Pret A Manger, as well as a Relay store. The station extends on three levels: the ground floor includes most of the services, while the first floor is dedicated to the international services of Eurostar, allowing the recording of passengers to London (service interrupted since the summer 2023) and hosting French customs services And yes we have visited the Resort by train as well !!!

This new town is cross by the RER A on the line along the expressway A4 including nine stations such as Bry-sur-Marne,Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d’Est,Noisy-Champs,Noisiel, Lognes,Torcy,Bussy-Saint-Georges,Serris-Montévrain – Val d’Europe, and Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy. The RER A from Paris proper you can take it at Nation, Gare de Lyon, Châtelet-Les-Halles, Auber (Great department stores and gare St Lazare) and Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (Arc de Triomphe). Get off the train and enter directly into the Disney Parks: they are only a 2-minute walk from Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy train station. The station is accessible by most high-speed lines from the main stations in France. From Paris-Gare de Lyon, Disneyland Paris is approximately 45 minutes away by RER line A trains. The easiest connection is at the RER A station – Nation to Marne-la -Vallée/Chessy.
I have not taken but this train station is served by many bus and coach lines, thanks to two bus stations (north and south). The southern bus (sud) station was done on July 1, 2019 the north (nord) bus station has 19 quays ,and the southern (sud) bus station has 11 quays, As mention in my previous posts on transports to the area and my Some news from France series ,there is ongoing work to allow the RER A extended in the long term beyond Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy, up to the Paris Est-Meaux train line, in order to improve relations between Marne-la-Vallée and the city of Meaux (already bus service and an inexpensive option to come to Disneyland Paris) . The Paris Est – Meaux train line would be replaced by the extension of the RER E, beyond Chelles – Gournay, its current terminus, up to Meaux. However, taking into account the saturation of the RER A line for the moment, the master plan of the Île-de-France region offers the creation of a public transport line on its own site which would link the stations of Marne between them –La-Vallée-Chessy, Esbly and Meaux by bus as of today.
