This whole Mont Saint Michel is the most visited place in Normandy and rightfully so even with the hordes of tourists nowdays. I like to tell you about other small good enjoyable family places that require even less efforts in climbing and you can see all of them in one day! These were in one post and I decided to give them their own so deserving me think, Let me tell you about the Logis Tiphaine du Guesclin Museum of Mont Saint Michel !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

We continue with the Logis Tiphaine or maison du Guesclin.  This house built in 1365  , restored in the 19C, it still belongs to the descendants of the constable.  The house also houses the astrology cabinet of the latter who read in the stars, no doubt inspired by such a magical place. The Logis Tiphaine ,the historic home of Bertrand Du Guesclin knight and constable of France and his wife Tiphaine de Raguenel famous astrologist with period furniture, bridal chamber medieval chastity belt, armour worn by Bertrand du Gueslin and Tiphanie de Raguenel astrologer’s study room. Neat and nice.

The visit of this historic house will make you discover the living environment of a knight of the Middle Ages with its period furniture, the armor of the knight Bertrand du Guesclin and the astrology cabinet of Tiphaine de Raguenel. The knight du Guesclin distinguished himself during the Hundred Years War in the 14C. His courage, his fighting spirit, his sense of organization and command made him go from the rank of captain to that of the great constable of the armies of the Kingdom of France.

He had his wife of Raguenel built a home in Mont Saint Michel, which was, in these dangerous times, one of the safest and best protected places in the kingdom. While Bertrand du Guesclin was illustrated by his bravery on the battlefields, Tiphaine de Raguenel, who was astrologer, read in the stars the destiny of the world.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
