The beaches of Bénodet !!!

I am looking at my blog and saw places visited and pictures not shown yet so this is a task for the coming months, I like to tell you about the wonderful beach town of Bénodet in the Riviera Bretonne. The main reason of me coming was to visit this the port and the beaches. Do see my other post on it in my blog. Therefore, here is my take again on the beaches of Bénodet !!! Bénodetis easily reach from my house; about 94 km and a little more than an hour along the N165 to exit that tells you Bénodet, here take the road D44 and just follow the signs ! For this road warrior an easy ride and beautiful scenery along the coast,

The main beach or plage de Benodet (divided in four sections see below) is located on the bay of Biscay and it is in 28th place on 128 beaches of the Finistère (29)  region, about 0,5 km from City center and only 14 km from Quimper. It is a long edge line covered with the seawater blue crystalline and light sand, so there is no need for special shoes. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, solitary travelers, lovers of relaxation stays and many others. The only problem is partially crowded during the high season. Note that there is an area for an equipped campsite near the beach. Some of its infastructures includes, toilets, and rescuer station during beach season. Some of the prominent beach areas here are the plage de Trez considered the best but not by me. The plage du Coq offers intimacy in the golden golden light (our favorite). Then, you have the plage de la Pointe Saint-Gilles ,oriented towards the Glénan archipelago. Finally, the plage du Letty is huddled at the bottom of the lagune de la mer blanche or white sea lagoon.

From the beach and along the Corniche de l’Estuaire on foot, you can discover the traditional port of Bénodet. You will find the pier for the departures of cruises along the Odet river, but also to the Glénan islands, without forgetting the small bac (taxi boat) to Sainte-Marine. It also welcomes you with shops, restaurants and bars. An ideal place to stroll in the evening, eat or have a drink on the terrace with sunset.Nice indeed, The wonderful promenade Corniche de l’Estuaire, this small circuit of about 5 km begins in the bottom of the anse de Penfoul or bay. It follows the strike to the marina and then joined the port by charming gateways before taking the cornice to the phare du Coq or rooster lighthouse (by plage du Coq). After walking along the beach and its bathroom cabins, the walk returns to the starting point by small quiet alleys.

Located on the right bank of the Odet river, opposite Bénodet, Sainte-Marine is the seaside resort of Combrit. Entry point to the Pays Bigouden, its seafront extends to the Ile Tudy (it’s a peninsula). Its small picturesque port faces Benodet , a bac or taxi boat allows you to cross the Odet river in two minutes and reach Benodet. The marina of Sainte-Marine, is located at the mouth of the Odet, on the shore opposed to that housing the port of Bénodet. There is a small beach here too plage de Combrit.

There you go folks, another wonderful road warrior good trip, really enjoyed the town, and sure will be back for more ,eventually. In Summer is tops from any point of view me think, and I know about beaches having been born in one ! Again, hope you enjoy the post on the beaches of Bénodet as I.

Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
