The Church Saint Briktius of Oberemmel !

I have taken my family to Germany, many business trips but we all decided it was time to visit as a family and show them some of my business visits as well, All base in a nice wine town south of Trier (see posts), The wine area and the sights were memorable and even if with some missing in the family for the memories of always looking forward to be back, eventually, We walk the town all over, and even into the wine fields, lovely, the homes struck us the difference where all the houses were decorated different; the town has an event hall and will tell you an updated text and link on the nice Church Saint Briktius of Oberemmel ! The Church Saint Briktious was in the lively small cute town of Konz-Oberemmel or exactly in village of Oberemmel. Not to much written on the church at least in English but feel part of the trip and needs credit in my blog. The whole family really enjoyed the trip , and a visit to the church was a must.

Briefly, Oberemmel is an old small wine town part of the city of Konz in the district of Trier-Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate state. We got there by car from France, on the state road L 138. The B 268 runs east, the Saar river flows west. the incorporation into Konz took place on November 7, 1970, and now is known as Konz-Oberemmel.  We chose an apartment in the winemaker’s house in the village of Oberemmel where we rented for two weeks as our base; the town is lovely, and the stay was good with excellent quality/price ratio (see posts), One of the side trips we took was to see the Church Saint Briktius, the village’s church, The parish office is at Agritiusstr. 1, 54329 Konz-Oberemmel ,opening hours: Mon., Wed and Fri. 9h – 11h30.or by appointment.

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
