The Oratory of the Holy Sacrament Al Tritone of Rome !!!

I taking you back to Rome for a while. This church as many others for some reason of mine was left out or mix in with other posts,and they should have a post of their own, me think, There are so many old stone to see there with lots of history and architecture features as well. Therefore, let me give them credit and tell you about the Oratory of the Holy Sacrament al Tritone of Rome !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

I will be brief just for the memories, there is a lot more on them there and here, These are several left out from my blog for some unexplained reason, Catching up !!!

The Oratory of the Holy Sacrament al Tritone ( Via del Tritone), located in Piazza Poli, is also known as the Oratory of the Guardian Angel , but in essence it is the oratory of the parish of Santa Maria , built for the Confraternity of Blessed Sacrament ,construction started in 1576 during the pontificate of Gregory XIII , but the oratory was not completed until 1596. In 1681 it was restructured in a fully Baroque style, Particularly elegant and lively is the façade ,the lower order has a beautiful portal framed by two pilasters and surmounted by two heads of winged angels; on the sides two pairs of semi-columns, with precious Ionic capitals, support a high broken tympanum, above which there are two marble statues,depicting “Faith” and “Hope”.

The oratory was completely rebuilt between 1726 and 1730, during the pontificate of Benedict XIII , under the patronage of Cardinal Pietro Ottoboni. There was another restoration in 1867. The western part of the present Via del Tritone was built as a completely new street at the end of the 19C, and this entailed the demolition of the building abutting the church on its north side. As a result, the right hand side wall was re-faced in 1897. In 1875 the interior was decorated. the main altar is decorated with a altarpiece representing the Holy Family The Oratory of the Holy Sacrament al Tritone is now a center of devotion to the Guardian Angels, and is a well-used place for private prayer.

Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
