Curiosities of London, part I !!!

I have heard of the city from neons ago, but only was able to visit while living in France. My first trip was a business conference and then many more and a family trip. I have been coming to London for 8 years straight on business trips, and finally made it with the family ,and then more business trips and another family trip. Memorable London, family trips good times forever, Let me tell you about the curiosities of London, part I !!! Hope you enjoy it as I.

 The Tower of London is a historic fortress located on the north bank of the River Thames in London next to the tower bridge. The tower is located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets east of the City of London in a space called Tower Hill. Its construction began towards the end of the year 1066 as part of the Norman (French) conquest of England. The White Tower, which gave its name to the entire castle, was built on the order of William the Conqueror in 1078. It also served as Grand Palace and Royal residence.  The Tower of London had become one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of UK.

The Victoria and Albert Museum, often abbreviated “V&A”, is a national art museum located in London, in the district of South Kensington. It is the world’s largest museum of applied and decorative arts and design, as well as sculpture, housing a permanent collection of more than 2.27 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and is named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. It is a fabulous museum to visit !!! The V&A museum was conceived in the aftermath of the Universal Exhibition of 1851.

One anecdote, saw this wonderful architecture which I like and got me a picture. Later found out it is a lodging residence, very nice indeed. It is call The Other House South Kensington at 15 -17 Harrington Garden. Of course, cannot vouch for the property but it is a wonderful area of London I stayed across the street at the Millenium Gloucester Hotel(see post).

There , my parents born in Cuba met and later on I was born there too. 100% guanche (annexed Tenerife to Spain on April 10 ,1496). I left Cuba as many have to Madrid, Spain where I lived for 4 years. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting. Moving average a home every 5.5 years hopefully this will be my last. Cheers All rights reserved.
