Again on my road warrior mode, we set out to new territories ! Well not per se but this time we were in town and saw many things which will share over the coming posts in my blog, We first came to Fécamp, and it was a blast !! We will be back for more for sure, eventually, As you know there is so much to see in my belle France, We had to eat so let met tell you about our lunch and dinner in wonderful Fécamp !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.
Again, Fécamp is located in the Seine-Maritime department 76 in the Normandy region of my belle France. As we had parked at Place du Général Leclerc we found it great to do our walks from there and eventually went over to Place Charles de Gaulle to have first our lunch and then our dinner there.
The lunch was at random, just walking for a place to have a light lunch and we came upon Café & Créperie Ben & No at 16 Place Charles de Gaulle. We got in fast and of course our wonderful dog Rex came in too!

Here we had our Breton galettes Norman style with Tartichêvre and a brut cider bottle of Lemercier, and a banana split for me. My boys had another tartichêvre and two catalans also banana splits and belle Hélène. All nicely done and reasonable prices. A find once again by yours truly.

Of course, we continue our walks and for dinner I had made previous reservation for 19h or 7 pm at the restaurant Le Rex at 17 Place Charles de Gaulle! In fact, while having lunch we saw the restaurant we had reserved for dinner a coincidence and a good one.

Here the service was a bit slow for our tastes even French, but it was full of customers for 3 servers. The decoration and ambiance was nice, we like it after all. I had the menu entrée, main dish and dessert all wash down with the local Ragnar blond Norman beer from nearer Rouen! For entrée I had the terrine de cochon or pork, main dish the Dos de cabillaud crème d’isigny & purée de patate douce or cod fillet in Isigny cream with mashed sweet potato, and the banana split dessert , our favorite. All very nicely served, and reasonable prices.
The Le Rex as the name implies for many was a former cinema movie house that closed and was converted into the restaurant! With its black and red decor reminiscent of the atmosphere of dark rooms in cinemas it is quite romantic too me think.
