I will take you south deep cathar country and home of family on wifes side. We have been here many many times and have posts on several locations ,however, I like to tell you more on places that deserve more on the things to see and we like in the pink city of Toulouse ! Therefore, here is my take on my personal curiosities of Toulouse !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I
The Canal du Midi is a navigation channel with a dividing line that connects Toulouse to the Mediterranean Sea since the 17C. From the 19C, the side channel to the Garonne, in Toulouse, extends the Canal du Midi to provide a waterway from the Atlantic Ocean to theMediterranean Sea: The two channels are called Canal des Deux-Mers or canal of the two seas.

The rue Boulbonne is in the historic center of Toulouse, The street has retained the appearance it had at the end of the 18C because most of the buildings built during this century, although modest, have been preserved, with their classic facades and their windows adorned with wrought iron railings. The Boulbonne fountain was built in 1984 on the site of the former Quatre-Carres well. It consists of a brick wall made of four pillars crowned with stone spheres and surmounted by a curvilinear pediment, which is inspired by the architecture of neighboring buildings. Water gushes out of three lion’s muzzles

You can have nice views of the city from the pretty hill or Jolimont. Here the Jardin de l’Observatoire ,the first place where a sky planetarium was founded in Toulouse !!! Now its just a garden park. Covering an area of three hectares and surrounded by walls, the park is home to many species of trees. The garden was designed as an integral part of the observatory and keeps several traces: the paths are oriented along the meridian and in the east-west axis. There are also two pillars used to adjust the meridian telescope. At the entrance of this park, we find the National School of Air and Space.

And on our walk warrior mode we were walking around Place Esquirol where we had parked my car. We came upon L’Esquirol bar just facing us right on. This was a one stop deal, we came in with our dog Rex and voilà they accepted it in the terrace which was fine. He love it outdoors and ate too lol !!! A wonderful experience part of our memories forever in Toulouse.

At the Port Saint Sauveur on the Canal du Midi section and we found Le Bistro du Port. Super friendly service upper floor view of the marina and canal, Cuban salsa blaring on loud speakers and great seafood .fish, beer combination. And of course, our Rex! Another memorable spot to eat in our nice Toulouse.

The fame and my rugby team Stade Toulousain has 21 National titles and 5 times European champion.. And we have on the wife side family still here donc we are supporters or maybe they won’t admit me to the family lol !! They are diehard fans and follow the team closely,,,I too can rack up some stories of it, This is their official store in Toulouse at 73 rue d’Alsace Lorraine.

There you go folks, the above will give you a darn good idea of of me even more in my road warrior trips in my belle France, Of course, Occitanie is a big part of it and wonderful Toulouse is special indeed, so dear to me, love it. Again, hope you enjoy the post on my personal curiosities of Toulouse !!! as I.
And remember, happy travels, good health and many cheers to all !!!
