My Christmas time in my Madrid !!!

We were back to my dear Spain again !! love it !! We came by car of course and took time to see some new towns with my sons and our dog Rex ! I rented a small house in a off the beaten path country town that was just perfect ! I like to end this newest road warrior saga of our new experiences even if now with less in our family, This post is the last one of the trip and fitting it is on the Christmas time spent with my boys there for a wonderful sublime time in Madrid, Therefore, let me tell you about my Christmas time in my Madrid !!! This is Madrid capital of the province and community of Madrid as well as the kingdom of Spain, All central all comes and leaves from here in my dear Spain, A must to visit at least once in your lifetime or more once bitten with the bug as from Madrid to heaven and a hole in the sky to look down on it everyday ! Once again, thrill to be back to my Madrid and this year twice !! Love it !!! Only 202 km from our rental house in Velliza down on the A62, A6, and this time to the M500 and M30 to the Retiro park and our parking at Parking Avenida del Mediterraneo 28 near metro bus Conde de Casal and the Retiro park, From here back to Centro or old town to see more of my Madrid ! Again, until we meet again and look forward already to next time in my Madrid !

Some of the sights we enjoyed were, before and after the lightings : The lighting, which will bring numerous novelties and will reach more than 230 locations from the 21 districts, the National Soccer coach, Luis de la Fuente, will be in charge of turning on the Christmas lights of  Madrid this year, in an act that will be held on November 28 at the Puerta del Sol. (we were there on December 10 and 13, 2024 on this trip), The lighting was on from Sunday to Thursday from 18h to 24h , Fridays and Saturdays: from 18h to 01h00.

We did spent quite a bit of time at nights by Gran Via before getting to the Puerta del Sol, magical all over, missed it already !!

The Christmas Market of the Plaza Mayor, and the Plaza de Isabel II with several positions where locals and tourists can make a Christmas purchase, as well as the Plaza de España that hosts the Christmas Mercadilllo and ice rink. On the other hand, on the Paseo de Recoletos, in the section between Plaza de Colon and Plaza de Cibeles, the Craft Market Fair of the Community of Madrid was schedule but did not see, The El Corte Inglés at Calle Preciados opens Christmas with the classic Cortylandia show. Then, move to Perth Amboy ,New Jersey USA (living there 13 yrs) ; where I completed high school, became a US Citizen, learned to drive a car, and learned English. Afterward, went to the university in Florida, ERAU, and upon graduation decided to moved there to Ormond by the Sea, near Daytona Beach, finally moving North Miami, then Hialeah, then another moved to Silver Lakes division in Miramar, Broward county, Florida; in Florida I lived a total of 18 years. Finally , moved to France in 2003 ,Versailles call me for its royalty, and working in Paris was great. It was time to seek frontiers again and moved to Brech near Auray, Morbihan in Brittany , and later move to not too far Pluvigner. Total so far in France has been 20 years, and counting.
