This time took my road warrior skills to go again to jolly England with the Le Shuttle train service (see post), and my Ford ; towing along my good boys and wonderful Rex! It was a very nice trip going into the countryside and seeing several towns of wonderul architecture and history (see posts), This one is a must and the main reason we made this trip for my boys, who love it !!! and, we will be back, eventually, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is located inside Leavesden Studios, near Watford, in southwest Hertfordshire ,about 30 km from London, We came here after visiting High Wycombe (see post), 25 miles (34 km) away, I have a couple of other posts from the first trip but this will individualise on each attraction in the studio, Therefore, let me tell you about the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London, the Forbidden Forest !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Forbidden Forest seen in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was a combination of location and studio shooting The Forbidden Forest seen at the Studio Tour is filled with 19 trees each with a diameter of over 12 feet. This is just a small part of the set used in the films. The permanent Forbidden Forest set allows you to walk among 19 giant trees each over 3.6 meters in diameter, and discover iconic creatures such as Buckbeak the Hippogriff and the giant spider Aragog. It features backdrops spanning over 180 meters and massive trees that recreate the films’ dark atmosphere. Encounter a life-sized model of Buckbeak the Hippogriff and the Acromantula Aragog in his lair, with the chance to manipulate the weather and use a magic wand to control the environment. The highlight of this section is the encounter with Aragog! Me think,

It is home to dangerous creatures such as Acromantulas (giant spiders like Aragog), centaurs, Thestrals, and unicorns, and offers an illuminated outdoor night walk inspired by the forest seen in the films. The Forbidden Forest, aka the Dark Forest, was a forest that bordered the edges of the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The forest spanned a considerable area, and was even considered part of the Scottish Highlands. As the forest’s name suggests, it was strictly off-limits to students, except in the case of detention or Care of Magical Creatures lessons that occasionally took place there. Of course, given the various dangerous creatures living in the forest, few students would even want to venture into it.

However, it was not entirely contained within the school’s boundaries; Bartemius Crouch Senior was able to enter the grounds on foot via the Forbidden Forest from a location outside it. Patricia Rakepick, who had lured students and attacked them was also able to flee the crime scene by Disapparating after the murder of Rowan Khanna; this demonstrates that if one ventured deep enough into the forest, one would eventually emerge beyond the school grounds and the protective enchantments surrounding them. Also, clothes were known to snag on low-slung branches and brambles. The forest was home to a wide and strange assortment of creatures. Anything wild and dangerous that needed a place to live was put there.
