The Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London, the Patio !!!

This time took my road warrior skills to go again to jolly England with the Le Shuttle train service (see post), and my Ford ; towing along my good boys and wonderful Rex! It was a very nice trip going into the countryside and seeing several towns of wonderul architecture and history (see posts), This one is a must and the main reason we made this trip for my boys, who love it !!! and, we will be back, eventually, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is located inside Leavesden Studios, near Watford, in southwest Hertfordshire ,about 30 km from London, We came here after visiting High Wycombe (see post), 25 miles (34 km) away, I have a couple of other posts from the first trip but this will individualise on each attraction in the studio, Therefore, let me tell you about the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London, the Patio !!! Hope you enjoy the post as I.

The Hogwarts Bridge extends from the Hogwarts Clock Tower all the way to the stone circle on the way to Hagrid’s Hut, featuring a gothic design closely tied to Hogwarts and fitting the Scottish landscape surrounding the Hogwarts Castle.

The Hogwarts Bridge, only a small section of the long bridge seen in the Prisoner of Azkaban and onwards was actually built, the majority of it was created using CGI during post-production. Whilst the bridge plays a prevalent role in the films, particularly The Deathly Hallows Part Two, it was not in any of the seven Harry Potter books.

The Professor Sprout’s greenhouse is a fan-favourite set from the Harry Potter film series, where students were taught their Herbology lessons with Professor Pomona Sprout. Built by the original Harry Potter filmmakers, the greenhouse is home to many exotic and magical plants

The two Privet Drive houses, including number 4; the home of the Dursley family and Harry’s summertime prison. Many people were photographed knocking on the door, it was impossible to take a photo without at least one person in the shot. The house was built for The Chamber of Secrets and used for the subsequent films that the house features in, for The Philosopher’s Stone, exterior filming for Privet Drive was done in Bracknell, Berkshire, The Dursleys’ house (interior and exterior), a 1:3 scale replica of the Weasleys’ house,

The Burrow is the home of the Weasleys. The house is built so crazially that it must certainly be held up by magic. It is likely to have once been a farmhouse, on top of which several crooked stories appear to have been added. Currently, the house has six bedrooms and six stories, plus an attic, with a rickety uneven staircase climbing among the stories. Overall, despite the garden gnomes, the old boots and chickens littering the yard, and the ghoul in the attic, the house has a cozy, warm feeling. Harry Potter considers the house brilliant!

The purple, triple-decker Knight Bus, an iconic vehicle, which despite its extraordinary triple-decker size, the Knight Bus is very real; constructed by combining two double-decker buses with a modified and reinforced structure, it can even be dismantled for easier transport and to fit under British bridges, This one-of-a-kind bus arrived at the studios on its own four wheels, Around it , one can spot part of Privet Drive, the Bridge to Nowhere, and even the Potters’ house in Godric’s Hollow. An emergency transport service invisible to Muggles, designed for witches and wizards in distress. Simply raising one’s wand while standing on the sidewalk summons it. It travels at breakneck speeds (200 km/h), moving in sudden leaps. It appears in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to transport Harry to the Leaky Cauldron in London.

At either side of the bus are two more of the vehicles visitors are able to play with at their own leisure; the Weasley’s blue Ford Anglia and Hagrid’s Motorcycle & sidecar. Arthur Weasley’s Ford Anglia is a blue Ford Anglia 105e Deluxe that has been magically modified to fly and become invisible. It can also carry ten people and six suitcases and doesn’t seem to need petrol. Ron, Fred, and George Weasley borrow their father’s flying car during the summer of 1992 to rescue Harry Potter from Number 4, Privet Drive. They rip the bars off Harry’s window before hoisting him into the car and flying off under the astonished gaze of the Dursleys. Harry and Ron are unable to get past the barrier to Platform 9 ¾, which Dobby has blocked to prevent Harry from returning to Hogwarts. Ron suggests that Harry take the flying car to school by following the train above. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, the car begins to show signs of weakness and crashes into the Whomping Willow. The car then decides to take refuge in the Forbidden Forest.

Hagrid’s flying motorcycle and sidecar is the original vehicle with its black sidecar ,modified for the escape scene in *Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. In the story, the motorcycle originally belonged to Sirius Black before being lent to Hagrid. For filming, the production team used modified Royal Enfield models featuring widened seats to accommodate Hagrid’s half-giant physique.
